I used it to lift a 6x10 10 gauge steel sheet, no problem whatsoever, very easy to operate, much easier to use than magnetic lift.

I picked up a 2'x6' 3/16 late steel moved it from upright on its side, then picked it up from its balance point and placed it on my welding table. There were minor marks that buffed out nicely. I will lift a 32" x 80" 1/4 " plate steel next week. Then I will know much more. I won't get anything, foot, hand etc where it might fall. I don't completely trust it and I won't ever trust it overhead. But it has solved a problem I had moving steel plate, and even 4" x 10' to 20' steel angle.

The teeth on the jaw are not hardened. Very dangerous. Slips on the material. We used it to build only one dump truck and it started slipping. Edge of the teeth are smashed. Don't buy! Very upset the manufacturer would do something like this.

Really hard to use. We ended up lifting the metal roofing ourselves
