After I finally received the ECM after a mail screwup it solved every power issue. I have a 2005 Polaris Ranger 700XP. All power for this year and others goes through this and the ground terminal in the ECM is historically the one that over heats and causes the ECM to fail. Usually starts with machine suddenly shutting off, then running fine for a while the bam, no power to anything. At $339 is not a cheap fix, but your only choice. I am on my 2nd one. Check and clean all your brown ground wire connections and I added dielectric grease to these and to the ECM terminals hoping to stop any overheating from a bad ground. Can only keep fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen again, but others have replaced this ECM several times. For now, back running great.

I installed new wire harness and changed the ECM. Even though it did not work out of the box the vendor refunded me my money so I will be giving them a second chance. I will reorder.

Unfortunately this is the 3rd one I’ve had to purchase over the life of my 14 year old Ranger. This item has left me stranded every time! You have no work arounds with this, ether it is working 100% or your walking. But once the old one is yanked out and the new one installed – BOOM! On your way
