These "old technology" scratchers work great! Some riding friends spent all the money on the cable type only to have the cable pull out of the crimp conection, and they are left with the bolt-on fitting hanging off the side of the rail. Just keep in mind that you can't reverse with these down and they will last.

No drilling on my 2013 Polaris Switchback Assault 800. Plug and Play . One side broke after just a few hours of use.
