This did exactly what I wanted it to do. Our pump kept getting clogged every couple weeks and would constantly need maintenance, after I got this, the pump hasn't slowed down at all in the last couple months since I've had it. I did buy an oversized version of this so it might have been overkill for what I needed but I've been happy to not unclog the pump anymore.

The plastic frame of the ‘FEOXSHAL Pond Filter Box, Anti-Clogging Pond Filters for Outdoor Ponds Nylon Media Mesh’ unit went together easily, and the screen bag slides right on. Mine is suspended below the surface by a DIY polyethylene foam float, so I actually glued the frame together. I use it as a filter bag on a fountain pump.The cage is strong enough to support a medium sized pump, and the mesh really stops all the leaves, baby turtles, and filamentous algae from getting to the pump intake. I can’t run the pump without the mesh.The cage is an important contributor to the operation. It dramatically increases the surface area the pump can draw water from. A mesh bag by itself gets sucked to the intake ports and ends up with only a few inches of intake area that quicky gets clogged.I’m happy with the product, and will add more to the pond next season.

I am reviewing FEOXSHAL Pond Filter Box, Anti-Clogging Pond Filters for Outdoor Ponds Nylon Media Mesh Water Pump Cover Barrier Bag with Drawstring, Pond Pump Filter Bag (10 Inch).This mesh box does exactly what it is supposed to do. It easily fits a fair sized pump with its 10in dimensions. The mesh does not restrict water flow at all and keeps all the debris out of the pump.
