Can't say how long this non-OEM filter will last compared to the Sta-Rite OEM version, but I can say that it looks just as solidly made and it costs about half the OEM version's price. At that kind of discount some diminution of life isn't terribly concerning to me. I would need to have it dip below half OEM longevity for it to no longer be a bargain, and from the look of the filter I don't expect it to fall short much, if at all. Chryseos doesn't have a ton of reviews on Amazon, but those it has are pretty positive--and they go back eight years with some of their filters.

Fit my sta-rite filter perfectly. Snug fit on top and bottom and feels like a good seal. Construction of the filter media seems similar if not the same as the Pentair filter it replaced. If it lasts a while, it will definitily be my go to from now on instead of the factory brand.
