This is GREAT!If you have a bed cover and would like to lock the tailgate without the key, This is what you need! Installation was a breeze. Took all of about 30 minutes. The short wire with connectors goes in the tailgate to the mechanism and connects under the back of the truck. This is for removing the tailgate. If you run the one single wire from the mechanism to the front under dash connection point, you will have to cut or remove the wire to take the tailgate off if needed. This thing is GREAT!

I’ve installed hundreds maybe even thousands of aftermarket parts over the past few decades. This is one of the good ones. Once you get the directions from their website it’s very straightforward and well detailed. The parts just fit like they should and are even designed to allow removal of the tailgate. I was looking for a critique but I really couldn’t find one. Right down to the drawing of where the factory connector is to plug into it doesn’t seem like they missed anything. Works like it should the very first time, I would get another on my next truck. Installed on 2018 Toyota Tundra CrewMax.

The instructions are very lame... However, if you have some mechanical basic knowledge you will figure it out. I have a 2019 Tundra and I had to do some fishing feeding the cable thru the back bed. Use a clothe hanger and attach the cable. It will make it much easier, specially if you have King Kong Fingers and Hands like me... LolThe feeding of the harness from the front to the rear it was easy. Just walk the cable from the front to the rear. I use a drill to make a small hole in the existing cabin rubber plug to feed the cable. I zip tide as I was moving from the back to the front after the wire was placed. My left over I placed it with zip tie in the cabin.The wiring couldn't have been any easier. Plug and Play. Insert the Green to Green and Blue to Blue, disconnect the bottom BLUE Plug, and connect the provided harness.and you will be done.

I purchased this lock and it came as promised but I took it to have it installed and it doesn't work. I trying to get a replacement ill keep you updated on how this goes
