And, their ATP Luminometer works great! I just compared it side-by-side with the big name brand (Hyg****) and it works just as well (maybe better) - for a lot less money. This seller is great too. I had some questions and they handled them right away. They take pride in their products and their customer service. I would rate them as SIX STARS if I could.Richard in Colorado

We received the instrument. We were unable to validate it. Results from positive controls were eratic and unduplicatable. Upon troubleshooting, it was determined that the instrument we received was defective.

This portable ATP fluorescence detector is simple to operate and provides rapid readings. The screen is clear, and the menu navigation is intuitive. While it functions as expected, users should ensure they have the correct swabs, as they are not included.

This Portable ATP fluorescent detector is fast and does the job, but I think that it could easily be improved in some areas. My main issue is that the SWANSOFT store that sells this detector does not support it by also selling the swabs needed to actually make it work. You can find these swabs on Amazon with some digging and work. If you buy in bulk, you can find them for just under $5 a swab. I’m not sure why they do not offer them in their store, but it would be nice if they at least included an ASIN number for people to find the correct swabs. I found them using the following ASIN number, B07NJMM66C. For the price, I would have expected the display to have been a little more advanced. It does work and is easy to navigate. I like the fact that the data can be logged on the computer. That makes keeping track of the data easier, and aids in finding consistent issues within a system or company.

The main thing about this device, is to be VERY CAREFUL putting the probe sleeve in the machine. It has to be just right and it can easily go in cockeyed. So go slow and take your time, if it doesn't seem to want to go in, take it back out, check your orientation, and try again.I took -1 star for being powered by evil alkaline batteries. Would be MUCH better if it was rechargeable. My advice is to NOT leave the batteries in it when it's being stored. Or you could return later to find your expensive SCT has been ruined by leaking alkalines. I suggest rechargeable AA's or even lithiums to prevent damage, or as I said, remove them when you're not using it.
