Chlorhexidine is best antiseptic on the market. Coupled with 70% alcohol it's unbeatable. Yes, it stains white clothes a little but just cover the wound, duh! Nice price point, too. Very handy. Every emergency medical bag and home medicine cabinet should have this in it.

This stuff works the best on my skin for the adhesive. It doesn't irritate my skin and leaves the skin very clean to keep my dexcom g6 and infusion site stuck for its lifecycle. Alcohol just doesn't work as well as this for me. I've never needed to try the skin-tac stuff because this always worked well. Just be aware it is friction based and should be applied with some rubbing.

Use this to prep an IV connection site or the top of an injectable med. Ok for unopened skin. 5 secs will do it. It's the chlorhexidine that does the job.
