Cassette Player Operation
1. Insert the earphone plug into the jack.
2. Set the function selector to "tape" if needed.
3. Open the cassette door, insert a tape with the exposed side up, and close it.
4. Press play and adjust the volume as desired.
5. Press stop to turn off
Recording Operation
1. Ensure the blank cassette tape has "Recording Lips" on both sides (A/B).
2. Close the door, select music or a program from the radio/mic, adjust the volume, and press "REC" to start recording.
3. Monitor via headphones or speakers.
4. Press "Stop" to end recording.

The product looks good and is of good quality, and fulfills its purpose of being a cassette player well. However, there is a big detail here: it is very basic and has very poor sound quality. However, don't expect anything special. If you just want to plug it in and play your music and don't care about quality, this product is wonderful. When connected to quality speakers, it remains poor, with no bass, midrange or treble. On its own speaker, the sound is just bad. It is not a cassette player for audiophiles, but for the price it is justified. Good ones cost 5 to 10 times more. So, it gets a 10 for delivering the basics.

Exactly what I was hoping for. No radio just simple cassette record/ play. Gets loud with the built in speaker and sounds just fine for what it is and the size. App 1/2 watt.

This is my first cassette player iv had in years.Pros:Well pricedIt’s small and fits in my pocket well.Plays tapes perfectly and at proper speed.Volume is decent with headphones.No tape jams yet an IUsed it heavily all week ðŸ¤ðŸ½Cons:The outside speaker is a nice touch but it’s not loud at all.Pretty sure this is mono and not stereo.I have yet to use the recorder button on blanks but I did read reviews of the mic being horrible and I could definitely see that being an issue.It’s a little fragile, definitely not for kids but more so the adult who handles things with intention and care.Plain and simple. You can find better but it will come at a price much higher than this entry level starter player.

This is not a very good recorder. I purchased this because I have another one that I have for years. I thought another one like it would be helpful for what I needed. The noise is terrible. It doesn't pick up what your trying to record unless you are right next to it. I will not recommend this is you need a really good recorder. This is a you get what you pay for. Sorry.

Works like a cassette player should, and also has a REC function w/mic input and an onboard speaker. The speaker is sometimes brittle and a little tinnier than some other Walkman-style players at higher volumes. The volume doesn't get quite as loud as others with this same design, but the sound quality with decent headphones is good. It works fine for things you might do with a pocket FM radio, it's fun to have around. Some will see potential in the record feature but most may never use it.

Our Tomashi Cassette Player,It's a nice size, easy to use, sounds good. Volume control good. It's cute, just the right size. We bought one for me and my husband, we will enjoy them wherever we go.

I wanted this to play cassettes I had when my kids were toddlers… nursery songs and story telling. For a 3 yr old…. It does just fine!I would recommend this for a cheap, definitely temporary entertainment source for a child any day….(I just wouldn't expect it to last long…that’s the norm for stuff made in China)BUT…ALSO remember…..AGAIN, it’s cheap, that’s why you bought it😂….but it’s made in China…. So on top if not lasting very long, it will probably eat a couple cassette tapes!SO……I would NOT advise putting a cassette in it that you cherish…. For that….You need to find an old American made one and have it cleaned before you put your valuable cassettes in it. OR BETTER YET, go pay a couple bucks and have a company transfer it to whatever newer device you use…It’s doing what I needed it to for a cheap price! So I give it 5 stars. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Like other reviews have said, this unit is not a stereo unit ( despite a mention of 'stereo' in the product pictures ). Straight out of the box this player seems solid enough. The tape speed was fine and did not need adjustment ( checked using a speed reference tape). Azimuth was also okay, although I probably will 'tweak' it at some point. Playback through headphones is okay but as this is a mono device there will not be any stereo separation ( just in case you didn't know already). Playback through the speaker is okay also. Think of listening to something on your mobile phone speaker. I think this device would be well suited to dictation use.
