This colorimeter is not precise at all. On a test of 32 RAL calibration swatches, delta-E averaged 9.43. Some swatches were off by as much as 17.62! Not a single sample had delta-E less than 3.5. By comparison, a Spectro 1 averaged 1.67 delta-E and the absolute worst was 3.9!This device is also virtually featureless. There are no options to get anything other than CIELAB values. If you want other color spaces you have to convert them manually, there is literally no excuse that a device cannot do this itself.There is apparently no way to calibrate this device. Buyers be warned - if a device does not come with calibration tiles, it is likely not a serious device for measuring values.

Very nice product, more than I expected, can quickly measure the color of L A B value of leather, very helpful, when i need more in future, will buy again.

Perfect for portable color analyses by students conducting wear tests. Easy to take readings. I found the instructions for more ocmplex operations somewhat difficult. It could use a more detailed manual.
