We love tetherball, and there are many nights when I hear playing going on even though the patio is dark. This ball allows you to charge it with a bright light (including the sun) and then having a glow in the dark game! This set comes with the rope and connection carabiner, and the ball is describes as an official size and weight, and does feel natural.

This tether ball is well made. The ball is good quality, as is the attachment strap to attach the rope, and the rope itself. The carabiner to attach the tether ball works well for that purpose. We played tether ball and enjoyed our new ball! The ball is glow in the dark, but you have to "charge" it first in bright light. The material absorbs the light and glows for a while. The glow fades with time. It is a novelty. If you truly wanted to play outside at night, you would have to expose the ball to a very bright light for a time first. And even then, the glow in the dark is not super bright. But this is exactly as you would expect for a glow in the dark material.I am very happy with this tether ball!

Inflated well with the included pump and the ball has a cushiony feel to it so should be easier on the hands.I tested out the glow by shining a UV flashlight on it and it had a reasonably good glow. (see photo)As far as long term durability only time will tell but it seems to be well made.

The tether ball itself seems to be of excellent quality and appears to be pretty durable (disclosure: we haven't used it yet, because it's winter in the North East). The stitching, material and rope are strong and the carabiner clip is super heavy-duty which is nice. It comes with a cheap plastic pump and pins which works fine to fill the ball to a usable pressure. Although the ball is excellent, the glow feature is pretty limited. Don't expect the ball to be shining bright like the moon at night, as the glow will fade after ten to fifteen minutes. You can always power it up with a flashlight if you're really into the night tetherball tournaments. As an aside, and nothing to do with the ball, the box comes with an obviously AI generated message suggesting that it's made by a small business whose owner needs to send their daughter to ballet lessons...

This ball really does glow, which is cool! But you will want to be careful if playing in the dark, just because of the cord. Please don't accidentally strangle yourself or catch your fingers. Also that yellow-pea color by daylight is a little...alien? Not bad, just not a ball color you expect to see.The ball is constructed not like the classic rubber tetherball, but more like a volleyball with padded panels. I think this is a nice touch; it has a nice feel.Note that it also has a webbing tether tab, rather than the inset metal post that you might expect on a rubber ball. While it seems to be well-sewn, it remains to be seen (it's the dead of winter now) how well it will hold up under fierce playing conditions.Ball arrives deflated, accompanied by a decent pump and two needles, as well as the tether cord. Finally, a disclaimer: I did receive this ball as part of the Amazon Vine program, but always review as though I'd paid full price. That said, this ball seems to represent a good value, though on account of the winter weather I can't speak to its durability.

I got this tetherball to entertain my Nigerian dwarf goats. I haven't quite gotten them to start using it yet. It's hanging on a tree near where they like to hang out but I think there might be a little bit of training in order. LOL if it turns out they're not interested in using it I'll figure out another use for it. It's fun to bounce around and I could see it being used as a good form of exercise and hand-eye coordination. I got this glow in the dark version mainly because I liked the light green color. It's been outside under the sun for a few days now but I haven't noticed any glow in the dark aspect to it when I've gone out to check on the goats so perhaps it only glows for a little while and then it wears off? For my needs the glow in the dark feature wasn't important anyway. But I do like the light green color in general. Matches with the surroundings and nature more than the brightly colored blue red and white version they were offering. If you play tetherball I think this would be a great choice. And if you have playful goats, this would also be a good thing to keep them entertained. :-)

I received the glow in the dark volley ball through the vine program in exchange for my honest review. I received the ball quickly in its own box with a rope, inflator and extra needle. It does glow pretty good too. I don’t know what material it is but it feels nice as it’s a cross between rubber and material almost. It looks like a volley ball almost and I really like it. It feels very durable, works as intended and was easy to get inflated. It’s a great deal for a ball, rope, inflator etc and my kids really like it.

By itself, this is a really nice tetherball with good quality hardware and an inexpensive pump, but it also glows in the dark (which is kind of a bonus). Sometimes glow in the dark stuff glows at the expense of its primary function, but not in this case, it's just a fun addition to an otherwise solid product. Bring your own pole and you're good to go!
