I use the pump to transfer water from a 225 gallon tote in my trailer to my cistern 50 ft away and 30 ft high. It works great and empties the tote in 1/2 the time it takes to fill with a garden hose.I originally had a cheaper transfer pump that burned out after 6 uses. This one is going strong, you get what you pay for.I recommend highly

This pump works as I was hoping it did. In order to get it to operate flawlessly I had to purchase a what the called at Lowe’s “Foot valve “†it works great for me after adding a check valve. Purchased from Lowe’s I am using it for irrigation

We use this to pump water from a large rain barrel to our water garden - about 200 feet. Works great!

OK - so first, You cannot use a pump of this style without a semi-rigid, dedicated intake hose. NOT a garden hose (unless REALLY heavy-duty) but preferably a wire-reinforced dedicated intake hose. OR PVC.Second, the seal on that intake hose must be perfect - even the tiniest bit of air will cause the prime to fail, and drive You nuts.THAT said, this pump still primed slowly compared to others We have used (and We have 6 in service for irriigation from our pond to our gardens every year) - once it got rolling, output is good, noise is low, vibration seems to be at a minimum, heat output is about what was expected - it just primes itself slowly when shut off and turned back on.Definitely a good price on a nice pump - but the slow prime does concern Me, so i have to give it a 3-star rating, at least until Spring when it gets pressed into daily duty. i will update as that happens, but for now it just seems to Me that it sits and cavitates too long when started up, which concerns Me

This pump creates a lot of volume, pressure, and so far seems to work very well. Make sure you purchase a suction line as it does not come with one. Posting a video soon of it in use.

I must admit that I didn't get this to drain water out of my basement or pond, but rather for flushing my tankless water heater. Where I live, the water is very had and mineral deposits will ruin a tankless water heater within a couple years. So I flush mine out with vinegar every 6 months. My last pump was a cheap pump I found at a local hardware store that was mostly rigid plastic. This pump is much better constructed and heavier duty. When I connected the hoses to the water heater and the fill bucket, the pump pushed the water through the system with ease. An hour later the pump was still cycling the vinegar and there was a good amount of mineral debris in the bucket, indicating a solid flush. Using the drain plug, I flushed out with plain water and it cleaned up rather quickly. For my water heater, this is the perfect pump.
