This masher is complete junk. Works great as long as you leave it in the drawer and never us it. The masher falls apart as soon as you start mashing potatoes. Maybe it was designed for mashing water.

I haven't used it yet, but it is well constructed and the masher snaps in place firmly. I've seen a similar item at a box store, and it was priced higher.I tend to make mashed potatoes with the skin on, so I'm not sure how well it will do unless the potatoes are cut into small cubes. I have to experiment, but I haven't had the opportunity.

The design is a little lacking. It does lock in place but not very firmly. A little pressure will unlock it while I'm mashing and it gets irritating.

When used for making potatoes it fell apart. Handle came apart from masher. Grid does not stay with handle when used. Might be good for eggs or something simple but not making mashed potatoes. Returning...

Terrible. I was so excited for this masher. Thought it was gonna be awesome. 30 seconds into it's inaugural use, and it breaks in 2. Absolute trash. Don't waste your money on this one.
