I’ve been taking ceramics classes for a full year now and I’ve used a lot of tools. These hold up just like the rest. The handles are solid wood and the metal parts are beveled so you can achieve a great edge to your work. I have used my tools for trimming and forming the foot on my vessels. These tools are of a good quality and stand up to repeated use without feeling as though the metal part will become wobbly and fall off, even repeatedly being muddy and then washed. If you work in a shared studio like I do, I recommend marking each of your tools with a bit of brightly colored nail polish. This way you can keep track of these useful and sturdy tools!

I specifically purchased these to bevel my homemade cold process soaps. They work great. I love the shorter handle for better control. The handle is a bit larger in circumference which is also great when you need a sturdy hand. If I push a little to hard it's hard to have a steady even line on the edges of the soaps, which is infuriating, lol.

It works okay for leatherhard pottery and working off items on the wheel. It is sufficient what I bought it for and it was super cheap.

Well built, big comfortable handles, sharp edges. I didn’t buy this for clay. It’s an excellent pumpkin scrapper to hollow out a pumpkin for Halloween

I couldn't help just holding these tools when they came in. Nice width on the handle for grip. The metal appears quality and I expect these to last for years.

The variety of shapes really helped my carve different angles and shapes as needed. Some of the heads were a tiny loose on the handles, but I imagine if they ever fall off they will be easy enough to reattach with glue, so no biggie. If you are also using these to carve your first 3D pumpkin like me, keep in mind the skin is tough to scrape off due to these tools not being super sharp (in fairness, they ARE meant for clay) , but after that it becomes a lot easier.
