Step once to power its plug on. Step again to turn the plug off. I almost ordered a momentary foot switch, which acts like deadman switch. Release foot pressure and the plug powers off. That's perfect for some situations. But this is perfect for what I wanted. It has a sold, old-school, quality construction and very satisfying operation.

I really appreciate the solid feel of this pedal switch. It works well with my drill press and bandsaw. A pretty awesome piece of kit to have.

Have this switch on my sanding table. The one I had previously did not hold up very long. This one is working well and is very robust. Much better deal for the money than my original.

This accessory makes scroll sawing much easier. It's a push-on, push-off action, not a dead-man type switch. Like any foot switch, it doesn't stay in place--you'll need to add a larger base or screw it to the floor to keep it from walking around.

Solid, cast metal, foot petal and case. Push once to turn on. Push again to turn off. Note that the controlled device plugs into the back of the plug that goes into the wall…it does not plug into the switch itself.Works perfect to control my router table. It has a large router motor installed…nominally rated at 3hp, but probably can’t do that on a good day, running downhill with a tailwind. (Real 3hp motors draw 34A at 115V!). The switch is easily handling whatever the motor actually does draw.

I use this to toggle power to a guitar pedal board. Fits right in with all the other pedals. Feels industrial and indestructible. Probably way overkill, but looks cool.

Pretty impressed on the weight and durability of this foot switch for the price. I'm using it as an on/off switch for a meat grinder to avoid having to touch the small button on my LEM 0.5Hp #8 meat grinder and keep both hands free while grinding meat or making sausage. To clarify, since there is little information in the description, when your foot is off the pedal and it is in the normal up position, it does not transmit power to whatever device you have plugged into the piggyback plug. When you press the pedal down with your foot, it does transmit the power to your device. I was afraid it would work in the opposite manner (like a temporary power interrupt switch) but it is appropriate for my application. I also plugged in a 1800W heat gun to test out the 15A rating and it worked no problem (120V*15A=1800W).

Mounted to a small board for mobility to various stations, I use this to control a vacuum in my woodwork shop after a plastic switch failed. Very good design and materials. 14 AWG cord.
