Used on steering gear for 2009 jeep wrangler unlimited x right hand drive 4x4 3.8l. worked perfect, no leaks. Couldn't find a rebuild kit at any local auto parts store and i refused to pay $600+ for a new steering gear, but this worked great. One thing i would like to suggest to anyone replacing the teflon rings on the shaft inside the power steering gear, is you may have to "shrink" them in order to get them to fit back in the housing. My approach was to (1)slip the teflon rings into position,(2) wrap electrical tape around each teflon ring 2 times, (3) install a hose clamp around each ring(you may be able to fit 2 rings under each hose clamp) (4) tighten the hose clamps fairly tight ensuring they teflon rings don't get pinched, (5) place shaft with teflon rings, tape, and hose clamps in a freezer for about 30 minutes. Remove from freezer. Remove hose clamps and tape. The shaft and rings should fit in the housing easily. (Your freezer times may vary. If it doesn't work the first time repeat the steps and increase the time left in the freezer)Thanks
This does not fit a jeep wrangler

I am an automotive shop owner. Thought it would work but does not fit my steering box. PN P52126348AD 2015 Wrangler 3.6 JK 4 dr. I rebuild boxes all the time-this one is very different in internal construction. Sector shaft seal comes out inside the box with the lower bearing. Seal diameter is different as well. The OE is 48.0 mm (larger than the kit size) and the outer dust ring will come out from the front but that is it. As for the main seal - a very different design than the old lip style. Anyway-not the supplier's fault- I took a chance. I guess that is why there are no other seal kits available for this box. Figured I would not give them a bad rating for another Dodge debacle. Reman box going in.
