Much tougher than expected, even on the easiest setting. Like that it has 3 settings to adjust to as you get stronger. Very solidly built and seems to be well made. Only time will tell if it is durable, but so far so good.

This thing comes in the shortest form so out of the box, it is set at (supposedly) 110lbs setting but it seemed to weak to me. It actually seems slightly softer than the $10-12 one I bought years ago where sadly, the inner coils crapped out. It still works but lost a bit of its tension and straightness. Even then it still seems a tad stiffer than this thing at its hardest setting!I may have to return this because I don't want to be able to do dozens of reps without busting a sweat.

Received this as a gift.Woefully under the listed resistance weight. I have a 30 year old bar and I wanted to upgrade to a higher weight bar. My old, worn bar has more resistance than this thing on the heaviest setting.I put it on my bathroom scale and bent the bar to itself to see the weight, it only came to 40 pounds.Will be returning.
