They hold well and I don't have to worry about hitting them with my plane. They are low to the bench.

I bought these hoping they might work for my old B&D Workmate, unfortunately the 3/4" pegs were too loose a fit in my Workmate's 20mm dog holes. I later made a set of replacement jaws for a friends newer Workmate 300 as the original particleboard ones were falling apart. These I made with 3/4" holes and these plastic dogs worked beautifully. I gave them to her with the new jaws and she couldn't be happier. They fit snugly without being difficult to insert or remove.

I bought these very affordable bench dogs to hold thin stock on my workbench for planning and sanding, but they are loose enough in the 3/4†holes such that they move around or “lean†in the hole making it difficult to secure the stock in place. I wrapped tape around the pegs to make them fit the holes snuggly but you shouldn’t have to do that.

At first it worked ok to clamp a large piece of walnut to my bench, but when I started to run the #7 jointer plane on it, the walnut started to move and I had to tighten it up. The top of the bench dog promptly broke off and flew to parts unknown. I have plastic dogs from other manufactures that will take the strain. I just have to use them instead when I have a piece that needs it.

I just finished my new workbench and drilled dog holes for the first time. There are all kinds of bench dogs, but these are inexpensive and fit well in my 3/4" holes. They project less than half an inch above the surface and are plastic, so they won't ding up my plane if I run into them. Much easier than sawing up a dowel!

The only bench dogs I could find for 19 mm holes. Top quality. Nice low profile so can be used for quite thin wood. And not Chinese

I had to wrap one layer of electrical tape around them so they would fit snug and not fall out. They measured in at 1/64" less than 3/4", mind you my B&D Workmate is one of the originals and the holes in the top are larger than 3/4" from many years of use. They are very sturdy and do the job they were meant for. Overall very satisfied and very fast shipping. Thanks
