Excellent little charge controller word good keeping the batteries charged on my saw mill, just keep it dry and out of the weather as it’s not water resistant at all. Make sure to pay close attention to the polarity solar panels are not uniform but it’s super nice they include adapters for just this thing. If the polarity is not correct then it will not work by design

This is a necessary controller for your solar panel and battery charger. My solar panel is only five Watt allowing a charging voltage of 14.8 to battery trickle charger. Without the controller it would be charging at 18.7 and not turning off it will probably fry in the battery.

I bought this POWOXI regulator with the POWOXI solar panel thinking SURELY their products would work together but they do not. I attempted to contact their Tech Support but they are non existent. Don't believe me? Look at the POWOXI Amazon com page. Click More Contact us...no phone number and no email. I did manage to find their customer support email address in the pamphlet given with the device. Tried emailing them multiple times and NO response. Bottom line Powoxi products did not work together for me and no customer support to try to resolve the issue. I recommend against buying their products

A week ago I would've given this 5 stars. Then it spontaneously reconfigured itself from a solar charge controller into a discharger. In full sun the battery slowly goes dead. Surprisingly, the warranty period is a measly 30 days. I considered the possibility that the vehicle had taken a lightning strike (or EMP from nearby lightning), and since the price was low, I ordered a replacement.Update: the replacement controller behaved the same way as the 1st one. I concluded that both units were not bad - they were both OK. I checked the (2 month old) battery and IT was bad.Sorry Zeallife. Now I have a spare.

This was easy to connect and install. It worked fine for about a year. I used it to regulate charging a 12v battery from a solar panel to run a SPYPOINT game camera. Bought 2 of them and both failed. Deployed the controller from a cheap Harbor Freight trickle charger in the same application and they have lasted longer and were less expensive. For the record, all were in a weatherproof container.

This works okay if you need an inexpensive charge controller. It only has lights for charging or charged. I have it connected to a Harbor Freight Solar panel with my home made connectors so I can just plug together. Has been working well to keep my pick-up Batteries charged. I don't use the pick-up very much, so needed something to keep the batteries from going dead. I like the SAE connectors so I can make my own wires for connections. (Which I did) I think if I needed another one, I would get one with a digital readout so I can tell what the voltage is. They are not much more that this one was. It is used inside the pick-up so I have no idea if it's waterproof. I would put in a plastic bag if I was using out in the weather.

Bought to replace older regulator that suffered from an ingress of rainwater.This regulator is slightly more sophisticated having indicator lights for connection, charging and battery full.

Useful to show correct polarity and charging situation. My solar charger needed the supplied connectors to reverse the lead polaeities which was why my charger was not working before (didn't know that!). Took 1 star away as the device leds are not very visible especially in bright sun light.

Very satisfied. Got what I needed. Ordered these and in a few days they were here. Can use my panels again.
