This is a nice baker’s set. Worked very well for baguettes, but I’ve used a lot of the pieces for different baked items, making this a great buy!

Read until the end for some baking tips. Overall was very happy with the value of the kit. I would like to see one maybe with a large baking stone as that's how I baked mine. I haven't tried the pan since I didn't want texture on the bottom. I tried the whisk making biscuits and it worked pretty decent. The bakers cloth worked as intended, however would rather it be one large cloth instead of 2. Also would be better if it came rolled instead of folded, but over time it'll work itself out. The transfer board works great and I wish I had 2. The lame works mostly as intended but my technique isn't great. If you want a usable and delicious baguette just go to the Gozney website and watch the full video on making baguettes. This video will show you a good technique that's easy enough to understand, pay special attention to the dough shaping technique on the counter. I used everything but the oven, unfortunately I cannot afford a 2000 dollar oven like that yet. But when I do it's game on. In the meantime use a standard oven. Set to 525F, that's my limit and pretty close to the temp in the gozney video. Let your pizza stone saturate for at least half an hour. Transfer two of your baguettes to the stone spaced well, more than this wont bake correctly using this method. Pour two cups of water in the bottom of the oven, assuming your bottom is sealed. Be very carful to not steam burn your face. The gozney oven has a place to pour water in, mine does not. Bake them for 15 minutes. Do not open the oven before 5 minutes and don't open repeatedly during baking. They will be fine. If not just adjust your baking time plus or minus a minute or so. Let them cool mostly on a rack after you pull them out. They need that cool down to finish baking. Before reloading the oven give it a few minutes to warm back up the stone. If you suddenly realize you don't want to eat like 12 baguettes right now reduce your bake time to around 8 minutes when the baguette takes it shape but hasn't browned, remove form the oven and cool. Freeze em for later and reheat at same temp you were baking at. Thanks for reading and somebody get Gozney to send me an oven.

I am so excited about this set. I am scheduled to take an online baking class to make baguettes, and wasn't sure what sort of supplies I would need. Turns out - it's quite a few things! Thankfully this set literally has everything you need besides the ingredients and your oven!

This is a decent starter set. The pan is sturdy but on the small side for baguettes. The transfer peel is nicely made. The dough whisk is short, but I probably won't use it anyway. The lame is, well, lame. The blade is not firmly held in place and tries to come out whenever the cover is removed. The wood is splintered inside and it simply won't tighten enough to grip the blade well. I'll just go back to using my old one. If you are looking to gift this know that the set comes in a plain brown cardboard box.
