Joist tape is key to building a deck and other construction projects when you want to protect your wood from the WET!If you are getting a project done, or doing it yourself, you should insist on it.In the Pacific Northwest, wood rots when the wood gets wet and stays wet. Two reasons for this:1. The Pacific Northwest is wet for 3 seasons of the year and sometimes it stays wet for weeks.2. Fir, cedar, hemlock, and other coniferous needles mix with the pollen and other cone production debris becomes a wet paste that can stay wet for months and fill any gaps in construction. This wet paste is a catalyst for wood rot and is why decks, wooden stairs and other outdoor construction has a shorter life in the PNW.JOIST TAPE, fills some of these gaps and crevices, and fights rot gives outdoor projects a better chance to live another year and more. This AMOGATO Joist Tape is thicker and stickier than most of the others and for some projects, those two factors can really make a difference and that is why I am giving AMOGATO JOIST TAPE FIVE STARS!

Short, Sweet, Simple and to the point review. This joist tape worked just as we needed it to as we installed our new back porch. Hopefully after using this during the building process of our porch, we don't run into any issues with water seepage or structural integrity issues due to water. We didn't have any kind of problems installing this tape. Unfortunately, there's not much to say about this product other than it's worked for our back porch and hopefully it is waterproof like it claims.

Super sticky and strong joist tape. I had no problems with using it to wrap the top of my deck joists when I did repairs. It does as it says it does. No complaints will buy more when the need arises !

I am re-surfacing an existing deck. The supporting structure is 20 years old, but in fairly good shape. It's got lots of holes from prior screws/nails and some minor cracks. So I decided to use this butyl deck tape to seal off those imperfections from water infiltration. Hopefully, we'll get another 15-20 years out of this new deck. The tape is fairly easy to install. It's wide enough to cover the edge of a standard 2X6. It sticks extremely well. If it gets stuck to itself, you will never get it unstuck. The backing tape comes of fairly easily. I had a few times when the backing ripped and did not come off cleanly in one piece. It's easy to cut with a razor knife or scissors. The thickness is perfect. It will not affect any dimensional accuracy, but it's thick enough to provide lots of protection and sealing around fasteners. It stays in place well, even if you have to walk on it a little bit. Avoid sitting on it though as you'll get a sticky black residue on your pants.Overall, I was very pleased with this deck tape. Very sticky. Good size and thickness. Easy to use. Good quality and value.

The adhesion in this tape isn’t as tacky as some other joist tapes I’ve tried, but it did hold well.If it folds back on itself - you won’t get it apart and just have to cut that piece and throw it away.Overall it seems to work.

This deck joist tape is a great value and provides solid protection against moisture, extending the life of my deck joists. While it doesn't stick quite as well as the one I’ve used from Home Depot, it still gets the job done and is easy to work with. For the price, it's definitely a good option to protect your deck investment!

Used this joist tape for some decking stairs i was installing this past week. The application of the tape is smooth and the tape has a good stretch. No issues with peeling the tape backing off and found it very easy to apply.

This tape is moderately sticky and the backing is thin and can tear when removing. At least at a better price point that the big box store
