I was surprisingly shocked at how thick these sewing needles are, they are nothing like the little thin needles I had before getting these as a replacement. The eyehole is large enough for me to thread without using the little threader that is included. There are a few different sizes to choose from as well and they come in a nice little tube.

Many large eye needles are just for yarn or leather work, so too dull and wide for hand sewing. These are well made for those of us who still like to hand sew, but whose eyes are compromised. The existence of these is a kindness.
