Set includes a 4 carbide tip outside micrometers, calibration standards, and adjusting wrenches packaged neatly in a padded hard shell case.
Every order you will receive a set of 0-1" / 1-2" / 2-3" / 3-4" outside micrometers with Microfine Graduations: 0.0001" and Accuracy: ±0.0001" for precise readings every time. The red textured design and satin chrome thimble helps resist rust, reduce glare and are easily identifiable in your shop.
Each micrometer has a metal ratchet-stop thimble with a speeder knob to reduce the time it takes to open and close the micrometer.
To Prevent over tightening the constant-force mechanism stops the micrometer’s spindle from tightening once it contacts the surface of the measured object.

These mics are a great value. I would not use them to create parts for someone else, but they are fine for the work I do. After adjusting them to the standard bars sent with the kit, I compared them to my Mitutoyo calipers and even some cheapie Harbor Freight digital calipers by measuring feeler gauges. The mics (well, the 0 to 1" mic) are right on the button. But even the cheap calipers are within .0005.

I bought these because I was getting the run around between my machinist and my parts supplier for an engine build. So I decided it was time to take the measurements for myself.These micrometers are still as accurate as any high priced brand. Ten thousandths of an inch is still ten thousandths of an inch, regardless of how much money you spend to get it.I would not suggest using the ratchet end to loosen the barrel for calibrating the tool. It can throw the ratcheting mechanism out. At which point I had to take mine apart and fix it, but resetting the internal alignment of the ratcheting pieces so they locked back in place inside the tube. But the design of the ratchet, the size of the teeth, and the tension of the spring allows for the proper tension to be applied to the adjustment of the micrometer when it makes contact with the surface of what you are measuring. So keep the ratchet in proper working order, just as with every other micrometer.On my set, the 2-3" micrometer has the .0001 scale misprinted. It's the same width as the .001 scale on the thimble. However, the scales are correct on the other micrometers.I messaged Sandor about that, and they promptly sent me another one, but it has the same problem.So, there is some quality control problems within their manufacturing process that need to be addressed.
