Had a leak in one of the fittings on an old 50' air hose. Compressor was cycling more than it should so started looking for air leaks. Found it at the point where it attaches to the quick coupling into the compressor. The hose was made of polyethylene so hoped this fix would work. Seemed very tight, but heated the hose and pushed on the fitting. Used a few wraps of teflon tape (supplied), connected it to compressor and leak problem solved.

The 3/8" fittings will ONLY FIT on POLY HOSE, they WILL NOT FIT RUBBER HOSE. The outside diameter of rubber is larger than that of poly. It's a tight fit on the poly hose, which is a good thing, but it is a challenge to get the fitting onto the hose then threaded in. But it's a good tight fit, no leaks. So for what it is, it's a good product.- djb

I like how it's constructed but I needed it for larger caliper hose. Be great fixing smaller hose tho.

The list dimensions are wrong in the picture for the 1/4 hose. They are larger than shown in the illustration.

These are stated to work with 3/8†air hoses. They do, but only after I enlarged the tube hole on the tightening cap side. I do have slightly oversized hoses, so that may have played a part, but they had to be modified nonetheless. Works very well when all was said and done.

I have a garage air compressor and the red rubber air line was bulging at the end. So instead of spending $30-40 on a new hose I figured I could cut off 3 inches replace the end. This isn't even close to fitting over the hose. It might work on plastic poly line but not rubber air hose.

It's 3/8. I bought this to fix a 12V compressor & need 1/4 inch not 3/8. Good thing I used original equipment with new hose & a clamp.NO STARS GIVEN!!

This might look like what you need but it won't fit. It's way too tight. Get the Metabo version. That is also tight but not impossible like Breezily item.
