I was initially on the fence regarding a weighted vest when I began to really ramp up my fitness ambitions. While I wasn't crazy active working out I began showing my home gym (bench, dumbbells, Concept 2 rower, treadmill, exercise bike, stair climber, Teeter machine, curling bench, etc) more attention starting in October 2024. By mid-October I was doing pretty good and began to research the weighted vest for an extra boost. After reading many vest reviews, viewing photos and reading fitness professionals opinions, I decided on the BDRX Hanzo model (45lb vest). While fitness experts said beginners should purchase a vest not really exceeding 10-15% of their body weight, I'm 5'11 210 and jumped right into the 45/lb model. I assumed the 65/lb would be a tad much pushing nearly 30% of my body weight.The vest is well-constructed, pretty uncomfortable and definitely safe to use. I was very impressed by these aspects. While it took a good week or two getting used to it, fast forward by 11/25/24 and it's become a routine park of my daily fitness experience. I use this on my treadmill, exercise bike and rowing machine daily. When using the treadmill I also incorporated 4-5/lb ankle and wrist weights (20/lbs) (since updating them to 10/lbs apiece mid-November (40/lbs)). Working out about 12-15/hours per week, the vest along with the weights now feel like a breeze hardly two months later. The weighted vest also works great with push-ups, chin-ups and sit-ups. Sit ups seem the most challenging so far.I could definitely feel the higher-intensity workout. While I clocked a 4/lb weight gain my first month (October), I'm almost through November and I've clocked a 8/lb weight loss and the month has another week left. I've really toned up nicely and shirts/clothing even fit better. Sure I've focused on better eating and protein (Whey shakes, fruits, veggies, nuts, yogurt, etc) as well but haven't changed dieting too much.I really appreciate this BDRX vest, it's a critical component to my fitness and workout ambitions. Not going to lie, I already sent the company a message this weekend if I was able to convert the 45/lb vest into a 65/lb model since I feel that I already need an upgrade and heavier model. They stated that the 65/lb vest contains a third-row of weights whereas the 45/lb model that I have contains two-rows. I'll just continue using the 45/lb vest for the time being.If you're on the fence, definitely don't be scared to purchase this vest or even the 45/lb model. You will get used to it fairly quickly and it will become part of your everyday fitness life. Imagine the results you achieve on a treadmill/rowing machine/etc without the extra weight. With the added vest (and/or weights), you're working out just the same but receiving that extra 25-40% calorie burn or toning up 25-40% faster.I just might add the 65/lb vest if I continue to see increased results later this year or early next year. It's undeniably helping me accomplish my home fitness/home workout ambitions. A+ all around.

The quality of this product far exceeded my expectations. Incredibly durable, the small individualized weights give you complete control, the design is perfect and the comfort is great. I could not be happier with this ruck and with other comparables with weight costing nearly $350.00 I feel very good about my purchase and thank the company for being so accurate in their description. Very rare these days.

My wife bought this and she has been using it daily on our 2 mile walks. It is very well made and comfortable for her. Adding/removing the weights is very easy. She also wears it while doing squats and lunges. You won't be disappointed.

This is a great product that is an easy recommendation. Quality construction and easy to use. I purchased the 45lb set (even though it actually maxes out at 43lbs.) That aside, I would say go for it if you are looking for a nice exercise investment.

Looks good, feels good. Sits high on the chest and adjustable to the perfect snugness. Was skeptical at the price point but I don’t have a single regret, it’s quality was well worth it.

Like and aids in the PT use - help. Like the fit, weight(s) and space to move. Would like a hanger for its weight when not in use. Balance is something to adjust whilst in use, extra sweet wear, on these hot days too. Good tool.

The design, functionality, and durability is on point! The cast iron weights are the game changers as I never liked the bulky sand bags that always ran the risk of tearing/getting worn out and sand pouring out. I will update later after a few months use. So far it's comfortably challenging. Cannot wait until I get used to the full 66lbs!

I can take off or add weights. Very convenient. People at the gym ask about it. Very high quality.

Pros: unlike the heavy 2 pack of plates, these vests come with 4 pound ingots (my vest has 20 of them) that can be dialed up or down depending on where you are starting or what you feel like that day for weight. The weight distribution feels excellent and automatically promotes great posture while walking. The comfort is top notch, the weight is distributed over the shoulder with comfortable shoulder straps that are thick and padded. Lock this vest down with the velcro straps and it moves with you with as little encumbrance as possible.Cons: The instructions are not accurate; the parts that clip together are fastened onto the main velcro strap but that isn't shown in the quick start directions. This is a small thing but the makers of the product should fix this as the product is overall very good.Bottom line: I looked at many of these on line and chose this one for one main reason. The others almost look like body armor that have the weight but also come with velcro patches of flags and desert camo colors. To me I don't want to look like anything other than a middle age man trying to burn extra calories on a walk/run so the vests that look military or police style weren't for me. The added bonus was the comfort of the vest AND the realization that having 20 smaller weights instead of 2 large plates is a must have. It may seem expensive but studies conclusively show that walking with weight (rucking) directly improves balance and strength which is vital as we age. Buy this vest and pay it off over time if you have to but don't let the price stop you; it is worth every dollar for what you get quality and health wise.

Comfortable fit and easy to put on and take off. Weights can be removed if you want to use vest with lower weight. Velcro straps keep vest secured and can be easily adjusted. Excellent for adding some extra weight to body weight exercises and also “rucking” style weighted walks. It is a little bulky to wear under clothes and looks a bit like a bullet proof vest so may not want to wear when out shopping etc but should be ok for workouts and walks in the neighbourhood if you don’t mind getting a few looks. Overall a good quality product at a price that is pretty reasonable compared to some other options.

I spent several hours looking for a weighted vest and I am soooo glad I came upon this vest. The Hanzo weighted vest is a terrific product that goes beyond my expectations. The jacket fits me really well, I love the fact that it is high cut which makes ab exercises easy and it makes you look like a bad ass. I have done a lot of running using the vest and it's very comfortable. It's well made and very sturdy. I purchased the option for 45lbs and appreciate how easy the weight comes out of the vest. I am very satisfied with this product and recommend it.
