I'll be comparing this to others I had and the OXO single hand pitter I bought at the same time. I love my other OXO products but this one I'll give a pass on. It felt good in my hand but every few pits got stuck and I had to pry them out. I was wary of the 6 at a time idea of the Progressive but after using it for many pounds of cherries which I put up every year, I vote it the best I ever used. 100% of the pits were always removed! No matter what pitter you use every cherry has to be touched separately. This one makes the job faster, efficient and cleaner. I did take my time to run my finger in case a pit was caught on part of the cherry. There were a few but they were always under the little dish and easy to see and flick off. All my old pitters caused cherry juice spatter which required washing the floors, cabinets and appliances afterward. This one contains the mess and was to clean. Even my hands were cleaner. When it arrived I thought it looked small and possibly cheaply made but the small size is easy to store. It works well. I zipped through about 30 pounds in no time, with no mess compared to all past cherry processing.

This cherry pitter works really well - better than I expected, actually. I pitted an entire bag of cherries at once to put into a dehydrator, and it only missed 2 pits, both of which were in very large cherries that were a little too big for the cups. The action is firm and doesn't require King Kong strength to push down. As a bonus, after pitting it was super easy to separate the cherries into halves for drying. For anyone saying that the pitter is missing the pits or is just squashing the cherries - you MUST: remove the stems, place the cherries stem-side up, aligned with the blades, and push down in one firm motion. And don't jam massive cherries (or olives) into the cups. You should then have no troubles at all!I LOVE this cherry pitter and it's going to get a lot of use in my kitchen!

I love it! This saves me so much time. I think I may buy another one. So I can have help making jam. Washes up easy and stores well. I use a rubber band to keep it closed in my canning tools tub. CATION: Blades are sharp and can gouge hands if you are all Willey Nilly grabbing cherries!Product arrived quickly, well packaged and works great. Great price and quality.

Just got this and must say I love it. There are some foods I love but rarely get because they require too much work/effort per bite. I'm not talking about prep and cooking, I mean every single bite requires some level of "work" vs. "gain" in terms of tasty nom. Most things with seeds, for instance. Hate seeded grapes with a passion. Not a big fan of watermelons. One of those kinds of foods is my all-time favorite food: Cherries. Love them. But I don't usually buy them... why? Because seeds. Chewing around the seeds to get the "meat" and then spitting the seed out is just... annoying to me. Every. Single bite. Cherry pitters are a PITA too, only slightly better. So when I saw this device I got excited, guardedly mind you, I take a cautious approach to anything that seems... gimmicky. There's always a drawback that makes them less than what they seem or even just useless or not worth the effort. But I figured it was worth a shot... and turns out this one's a winner. 6 pitted cherries at one shot. Just one press and bam, I can just sit and snack on them. I can live with this. I have to give this props. If you like cherries like I do, and hate pitting them one at a time or having to chew around the seeds, I highly recommend it.

When you're dealing with many quarts of sour cherries it's an indispensable tool. Have to be careful not to miss pits but works well for us.

This cherry pitter is great! I use it often and love that you can put several cherries at once and the pits all collect in a little holder beneath the cherries! I hate trying to bite around this pit, so it makes me actually want to eat cherries! I also pit them before freezing them to put in smoothies. Love this tool and how quick it makes pitting the cherries.

My kids love to use the cherry pitter so that they can eat them without worrying about spitting out the pits.

Fantastic! 6 at a time instead of 1 makes prepping a bowl of cherries a much easier & faster task. I had a cherry pitter that pitted 1 cherry at a time that broke after 2 years & thought it was a great tool until trying this pitter. The GrandKids love eating all kinds of fruit & we love mixing it up for them. Just don't trust that the little ones can/will pit a cherry on their own.Works easily by placing cherries in position & pressing down. Plastic cleans with a light wipe of soapy water & a rinse. We use it every day & it's holding up well.

I have a single cherry pitter (PROS - effective, never miss a pit. CONS - slow). A hopper style gravity feed pitter (PROS -super fast. CONS - misses quite a few pits and occasionally jams). This pitter blends the best of both worlds. It’s not as fast as the hopper/gravity feed pitter, but it’s still a lot faster than the single pitter and it’s as effective and reliable as the single pitter, which is important if you are making fillings or wanting to make smoothies from the pitted cherries. The six compartments handle even large Bing Cherries and what I like the best is that you can line up the divet from the stem and make a nice straight through punch hole vertially instead of through the side of the cherry. The pit seems to want to exit the best in that orientation..Seems to be quite sturdy, surprisingly because it primarily polycarbonate, the pitter punches are stainless steel and sharp. Easy clean up and the lower compartment holds the pits.Highly recommended.

Nunca habÃa usado un deshuesador pero este me encantó, es muy fácil de usar, buen material, luce bonito y se puede lavar fácilmente. Además es maravilloso que deshuese cinco cerezas a la vez. Lo recomiendo.

This is a great little kitchen gadget that will save tons of time! I like that this has a dish underneath to catch the pits, and that I can empty it into a strainer to save the juice. You don't lose a lot of the cherry "meat" either! As long as you apply swift pressure when pressing down, this is very effective and easy device for removing cherry pits. (Just do a visual check before eating, there was one instance when the pit was still in, but only bc it was an unusually large one). I'm satisfied!
