Worked great for what I paid for it. No issues. I needed to change the internal mechanism and key of one of my locks without changing the whole thing. Did it at home in 5 minutes after watching a youtube video. Would buy again if needed.

After reading the other comments here, I was concerned when I ordered this that my key wouldn't fit and I would need to: a) Figure out a way to widen the keyhole, like another buyer did. b) Use the keys it came with and re-key my front door. c) Get some thinner key blanks cut at the hardware store for my front door key. d) File some metal off the side of my keys.I almost bought a real Schlage cylinder instead. But this one was priced so much better, I figured I'd take a chance and go with one of my contingency plans above if I ran into fit issues.I was pleasantly surprised that my front door key fit just fine. I have some other Schlage keys from friend's and family's houses that I tried, and they all fit just fine as well.Something I learned while I was researching this project is that Schlage has different widths for different keys. So, even though all of the keys I tried happened to fit, I do believe the other buyers who said their keys don't fit. I don't think that means Prime-Line is cheap or that their copy is unfaithful to the original. I think the buyers who had issues have Schlage locks with wider keys because they're from a different line of products. The quality seems great for the price. I feel just as comfortable with this lock as I do with my front door lock that I already had. Re-keying it was easy after getting a kit from Amazon and watching a couple YouTube videos.I hope that helps!

Everything about this cylinder was perfect except the keyway was too narrow to accept an actual brand-named Schlage numbered key. I do my own pinning, with locksmith-quality numbered pins, not with knock off pins found in various colors or anything like that. (Been there, done that.) So I used THIS cylinder in a patio sliding door, and went to ebay for a genuine (used) Schlage cylinder. All this came about because a deadbolt lock came into my possession, SANS (without) KEY. So that makes that cylinder non-re-keyable without some destruction, and loss of reliability.

I've been meaning to install one of these for a long time. Instructions say to "punch out" the hole for the lock, but it is solid aluminum. A step drill must be used. Took a bit of finagling but to get it right, but eventually the dummy succeeded. Recommend for price, quality, and quick delivery.

I couldn't get the key out of the cylinder after installation. The product looks and feels of good quality and it was easy to install. I'll have break the key so I can return it and get another one.

This did not fit my Schlage Camelot Keypad deadbolt. The solid brass vertical bar does not have a notch in it, which makes it too tall to fit in my deadbolt.

Used it to replace a busted schlage cylinder. The length and bits were a hair different, but the pins fit perfectly and the key turned smoothly.

Watched youtube instructions, punch out the hole. First try failed because I got it upside down. So it would not lock or unlock. After reversing the orientation, works like new.

While being a Schlage keyway it is a tight fit with an original Shlage key (the key provided slides fine).I ended up using parts from the other cylinder lock that it was replacing with parts from this one and I ended up with a good operating cylinder with no fitting problems with a Schlage key.Would I buy again? I would probably exchange the original lock (couldn't do that in this case).
