This is a screen retainer spline designed to be use for securing various types of screen fabric into a window screen or screen door frame. 0.140 inch (9/64 inch) in diameter. It is a top quality round, serrated vinyl with a hollow core. Color is black. 25 ft. per roll.

The spline is reasonably priced, a consistent black color, and worked well for me. I used it to install pet screen, so it survived the real spline torture test.Pros:Black Color-good quality-reasonable priceCons;-None really

Works well. Have used this in the .14" size for normal window screens and most recently to put a heavy duty pet screen in my Anderson sliding screen door. It's tough to figure out what size to use when going to a thicker material in a screen door, but this worked fine. Looked slightly thinner than the spline I removed. Be aware -- not all spline is created equal! I recently purchased a brand I used before from the Home Depot. The consistency of the rubber had been changed from subtle an flexible to hard and rigid, making it almost impossible to squeeze into the screen channel. Not so with this spline. Very easy to use, well priced and fast shipping.

This spline worked perfectly for me. Just remember that it is important to match the spline diameter with the gap in the screen frame.

Everything I could find about replacing screens on windows said to buy 0.14", which was wrong, when I bought this and then took apart my windows, the spline was much smaller. Not sure why all kits include spline which is much larger. I bought separately to get the smaller spline and it was still too big.
