Secure your home or office doors with additional security with the Defender Security U 9846 Patio Sliding Door Loop Lock. This secondary security locking device provides additional, increased home safety for sliding patio doors. It can also be placed out of reach of children, high on a door, so they cannot open the door themselves and enter or exit into dangerous areas. This door loop lock is constructed of a nickel-plated hardened steel locking rod with a diecast bracket and keeper also with a nickel-plated finish. It’s strong and durable, sure to last, and installation is quick and easy. All installation fasteners are included, and it is designed to secure to door to the jamb. Exercise caution when mounting on glass panel doors not to damage your glass panel.

This patio sliding door loop lock is constructed of a hardened locking bar and a diecast mounting plate and keeper. The locking bar and plates of this lock come finished in a chrome plating and all required fasteners are included. This locking device features a 2-1/8 in. reach which is designed to secure the door to the jamb for increased safety of the home. This sliding door loop lock is easy to install and is used by many. This item is also available in 1-1/8 in., 1-3/16 in., 1-7/16 in., and 2-1/4 in. reaches.

The door trim is not flat so the smaller version of this lock did not work, but this one works very well and was extremely easy to install. I did swap out the screws for longer ones to hit the stud for greater safety, but I am very happy with this lock.

I put this on my side fence. Exterior garage door. Interior garage door. Front door. 2 sliding glass doors. Be mindful if affixing to aluminum tracks/doors of where glass may be hidden on trim. No issues here, but not much room for error.Fit and finish are great. Recommended product and seller.

I purchased this to keep my 3 year old from opening the sliding glass door to our lanai. Although this does come with the 8 required screws for installation, the instructions do say you need a drill with the corresponding bit size to make holes in the metal sliding frame. I do have a drill and bits but that’s extra work. I used self tapping metal screws of the same length which I had on hand, it worked faster and is very sturdy.The metal on this lock is very thick and unlikely to bend under normal circumstances. Works fantastic.

Works perfectly for a room with a sliding door. It took me about 5 minutes to install. The door locks completely sealed, highly recommended. I tried to install a fancier lock and it was a mess, had to cancel that project and I'm glad I switched to this lock.

Este seguro si lo hubiese conocido antes me hubiera ahorrado muchos corajes.Hubiese servido para proteger mi casa, debido a que hubiera servido para asegurar una puerta corrediza que da al patio, por donde se metieron a robar a mi casa, pienso yo que con este artÃculo no hubiera podido o hubiera batallado en abrir la puerta, pero en fin...Un seguro sencillo y funcional el cual recomiendo mucho, porque por obvias razones no se alcanza a ver por el vidrio si se sabe colocar en un lugar que no sea tan fácil encontrar, no es tan pequeño.El material con el que esta elaborado se ve resistente.Instalarlo es muy fácil, es solo cuestión de que se coloque todo el seguro y se puntee por donde se va a taladrar o insertar los tornillos.Cabe mencionar que la seguridad y tranquilidad no tienen precio.En resumen: seguro sencillo y funcional.
