For a closed reed call. Randy Anderson' Third Degree packs a punch and will really "cut the wind." I used this call for the first time in January, calling in eight coyotes in ten stands with my buddy, Tim. I promptly lost the call and went to buy another. Since then I have called in another our or five 'yotes with this call alone. The selling point for me is the fact that the internal reed is not the same insert that every call maker seems to use on their closed reed calls.UPDATEI'm now on my second one of these calls. I wore out my first with too many bumpy rides on a quad and the reed insert rattled loose.I have about 20 predator calls and I've owned about ten more than that and this call has earned a permanent place on my lanyard. For the 2014-15 season, this call has already accounted for one of four coyotes called in and killed. I like the call because you can change the tone and "urgency" of the distress sounds by how you introduce air into the call and the intensity with which you push your diaphragm.Based on the success of this call I also chose the Primos Second Degree, and it is the second Randy Anderson call I don't like. The second call being the Ki-Yi, but my friend has an older Ki-Yi and his sounds better. Maybe I just got a bunk one? The Second Degree call just doesn't sund "rabbity" to me. I will still try it, but my first impressions are not good.

I do not live in the cold. I live in SoCal. I threw this call away today. If you blow into this call with too much force of breath... the reed just locks up and NO sound is made! When you're being cautious about that.. the sound of it is good and everything. But man the second you hit that wall? You just blew it for yourself.UPDATE : I've since re-added this into my collection. It does work. You just have to relax and not attempt to use the force of your air to attempt to make it be any louder or more raspy/frantic sounding. Just concentrate on your mouthing techniques for using inside of your mouth to affect tone and palm-cupping and jaw tricks to get the more frantic sounds you're looking for. This won't be a first call I go to. More of a keep it with me even on outings not intended for predators just to have it with me, type of deal. It does make a good realistic sound. You just gotta be careful to only blow into it at a regular level of force and just let it do the volume level is was designed to achieve at normal blowing pressures, which IS quite loud. Note that my go to is now the "Dan Thompson" calls.

I have 80 acres near a small town with many other farms around me. So there are tons of predators. While I like using my electronic caller, I have found that it’s better suited for drawing coyotes in from far away. If you know the coyotes aren’t far, this thing will have them come sprinting at you. Whenever I hear coyotes nearby, I’ll go find a spot on my land that plays the wind and give this thing a few short bursts of air. Within a minute or two I will have at least one coyote come rushing in, if not more. I have the mouse squeaker as well but have found that as long as the wind stays with me they will come within range on this call alone.

I purchased this product after my mother saw six coyotes on our farm. Product seems well made with laminated wood mouthpiece and hard plastic body. I have never hunted or called coyotes but after reading the included instructions and watching a YouTube video, I set out to give it a try. I got to my spot and used the call. The call by the way is LOUD! Within ten minutes a coyote walked within 15 yards of me. I don't know yet if the results are repeatable, but getting one in the bag that quickly was awesome. Sturdy, loud, and effective. Would recommend.

This call is built solid and is very east to manipulate to get the sound you want compared to other calls I have used. What I really liked is that it loves to be run loud. A few of the other calls I have had tend to distort when you really blow on them but this one stays very true. I mainly use this over large areas to increase my success rate so being able to make a call really sing is important and it brings anything and everything in the woods running to grab an easy meal.

Short learning curve, worked for feral dogs but unfortunately no coyotes. Solid, well made and very easy to use but if you're a serious hunter an electronic call placed well away from your position. As I've come to expect delivery was on time and packed as necessary.

I have been practicing with this call for a few days, and plan on using it in the coming months, so i cannot attest to how well it works, but it sounds like a dying rabbit, so that's exactly what you want. Its loud, and very study and well made, i would definitely feel comfortable throwing in my pack and not worrying about breaking it. I would definitely recommend it

The call makes a variety of noises depending on how you move your mouth. Shipping was fast and the product is a good size for hunting.

1. Not a pack of 4 as advertised2. To get a good squeek you really need to work this caller hard and practice3. This is NOT a hands free caller if thats what you need you really do have to have your hand up working or it just sounds like a party kazoo

This call is very user friendly and seems to be well made. The sound is very realistic and the critters seem to like it.

Yet to use in the bush but from practising at home this call has a wide range of crisp sound very loud and I think will do well
