The Armorwerk's adjustable shank on the lock is a great idea. It worked extremely well on the Plano hard case I purchased. I put three locks on the case and feel it is quite secure.

This lock is great! It is easy to set up your custom combination, it is incredibly sturdy, and it can used in a variety of ways. I don't travel with guns but anything that is TSA-compliant is always a benefit in the event that it is needed. I'm currently using it on the zippers of a soft case that I keep in my closet and it is so much easier than the regular small padlock that I had on there before. I will definitely be getting more of these for other gun cases.

This is a sturdy, well made lock.... however, even though there are numerous positions / lengths for engagement of the locking mechanism, my PELICAN case V100 lock positions are just shy of 1 inch (fifteen sixteenths) and this lock won't engage / lock even in the longest lock bolt slot. If your case has recessed positions where the length is three quarters of an inch or less this lock should work great for you. As noted in other reviews, take a screen shot of the instructions as it's fairly easy to program your unique code.

Sometimes I travel with my guns by plane, and being that this lock is TSA approved, I don’t have to worry about their safety during flights.This ARMOWERK gun case lock, seems well thought out, and is pretty hefty. I know that they say it’s cut resistant, but I’m not naive enough, to believe that, if someone really wants to get into my gun case, that that cable, is going to be anything but cut. That being said, this gun case lock, is pretty sturdy.Let me start with its packaging. It arrived in a flimsy plastic bag, and no instructions were included, a real pet peeve of mine. I mean really, they couldn’t figure out how to insert them in that baggie? Fortunately, when I went back through the listing, I found them there.Its constructed of a of durable aluminum metal shank. Resetting the combination was easy enough, I just followed the steps. However, you must remember to carry a paper clip or a fine tip pen with you, to open it when you arrive at your destination, something I don’t normally do.This lock is easy to use and it fits my gun case perfectly. The alloy steel seems very durable, and the fact that TSA has the necessary access for inspecting my firearms prior to being loaded in the cargo space, it gives me peace of mind, that there won’t be any delay in my guns getting to my final destination, on the flights I’m on Personally, I want to know where my gun case is located at all times. I’ve placed an air tag on it, just for that reason.Overall, this is a pretty decent gun case lock. While I’m dubious about it being completely safe from being cut thru, I’m not taking any stars off, as that’s the case with most of them on the market anyway.

The locks case is of pretty good quality cast metal and feels well made. It worked as expected. The number wheels don't feel janky and the button is either obviously operational or not if you don't have all 3 numbers engaged. The only reason for 4 stars is that it didn't come with instructions. Being familiar with how most of these locks work i figured out the combination it came programed to and was able to reset the combination on the first try. Now if I can just remember what I set it to....
