Annoyed that the only instructions are on the amazon description. I had to drill a hole to get it to work but it did work.

First, I recommend that you keep your broken mail box flag attachment system so that you can be certain that you are ordering a replacement that will fit. In my case I did not have the flag, but I did have the swivel mechanism still attached inside the mail box. My existing attachment system was exactly like this one. So it was easy to use the remaining attachment system as a guide to attaching this new replacement flag mechanism.

The flag is identical to a 17 year old flag that it replaced. Installation was quick and very easy. The retaining clip was a perfect match for the original. Both mailbox holes lined up perfect with the flag's mounting studs.

Easy to install and looks just like our original one that got very old and broke (so it still matches our neighbors). It’s held up very well so far and I don’t foresee any issues.
