We are a VFW Post. This box replaced a drop through slot where anyone could reach in and steal mail or left checks. This cured that problem instantly. The box is handsome and secure. It has received numerous positive comments

I purchased this mail drop at the cheaper price because it said, like new, but when it arrived it was scratched in a number of places down to the bare metal, as if the original owner tried installing it, and returned it when it didn’t work out. The worst part is that it arrived without instructions, so I had to guess at dimensions, and going through an outside wall, to an inside wall isn’t the easiest thing to do when the outside opening is 8-10 inches higher than the inside. I don’t recommend buying a returned one, because it’s obvious that the boxes aren’t checked upon return!

It would have been useful to know that the covered slot is not able to be used in an existing door slot. The box works as advertised and expected but I wanted to use the front piece to replace an existing old door slot for mail

Recieved with hinge broken off in transit. The hinge is only held on with one tinny spot weld that was welded over the paint. The finnish of the box is rough. Looks as though the factory has poor or no quality control. Others complain about the lock. I can see and feel that it is poor quality like the rest of the product. Choose another manufacturer!

My husband said that installation was very easy and it looks great where it was placed. It feels very sturdy. I like the fact that the cover is weatherproof and should help to keep water and snow out (we are in Minnesota). Very pleased with this product!

Used product described by Amazon as 'good cond.' 'Fair' at best when I received it. Came with dents, paint chips, and stress cracks. Can only be installed on thin outside walls. Impossible for brick or stucco walls. Instructions were vague. A template (not included) would have helped. Only came with 4-washers. 8-would have been ideal. Screws and oversized inserts were not compatible. Hinges weak/loose. Best suited for new construction and remodels.

Da un poco de trabajo instalarlo al ser inclinado, pero quedó muy bien.La idea es buena, pero protegerÃa mejor la tapa para que no entre agua de lluvia, ya que entra bastante. Y eso que lo estuve sellando con masilla por todas las juntas.
