These are decent, but just know that they are harder than other pastel pencils, closer to something like a conventional colored pencil. Therefore, you're not going to have the same sort of freedom and looseness in blending as a chalkier pencil.One big strength to this set, in my opinion, is its selection of blues and greens. The tradeoff, to me, is in its grays. I like having a little more variety of cool/warm and dark/light grays for shadows without having to blend so much.Also, from what I've seen, these aren't available as single pencils, which is kind of a bummer since some pencils get used a lot more than others. Then again, the price is reasonable.Not for me, but would be good for someone who likes colored pencils and wants to try something a little bit different.
