This is my second unit, replacing the original that lasted approx 6 years. This has literately saved our RV quite a few times. Well worth the money particularly if you consider just how much equipment that it has saved over the years. After all it has been through, the unit stopped working and I contacted Progressive Industries. They were very nice to work with and sent a replacement out right away. I have recommended them to friends and family. Good company and good solid product. You have a very happy customer, thanks.

I contemplated this item or the other brand item that I liked and have with a 30 amp model. Since my new trailer is 50 amp, I needed another and went with the Progressive Industries since it is made in the good ole USA and it comes with a lifetime warranty. The other brand looks good and worked well with my 30 amp model for 4 years, I looked at reviews on Camping World and had terrible reviews on the other brand and several bad reviews here as only lasting just a couple of years and breaks down and comes with a 1 year warranty. I like the lifetime warranty with this one and the prices are comparable. The other brand shows amps on both legs of the circuit, and this version only shows total amps being used but still, it work well.As some other said, the weatherproof cover does not cover the cord when plugged in and needs to be deeper in depth to allow the cover to close enough to cover the plug, however, if you close it as much as you can, it covers from rain, just not completely. If you have a fault, you need to look at the codes to find out what went wrong, but not a problem for me. I like the system and feel protected on my brand new trailer and like this item with a lifetime warranty to original purchaser (if you sell, the warranty does not transfer). I am a happy camper with this item.

Bought this 50 amp EMS based on reviews and recommendations. When I took the first one out of the box, there was a rattling inside the unit that sounded like a screw or a nut Loose. I never want to Use an electrical device when there are loose items rattling around inside. I sent that unit back and ordered another one. The second one seemed OK until I plugged it into my power source and kept getting an error message indicating open ground. Iuse an electrical device when there are loose items rattling around inside. I had to hire an electrician to come and determine that there wasn’t an open ground, the fault was in the progressive industries unit. I am very disappointed in the quality control of the production of these units. I spent an hour on hold before getting a representative from progressive industries they insisted that the problem was the power source and not their unit. a professional electrician says otherwise improved it to me. At great cost and time I might add.

This is a great EMS surge protector. It is kinda heavy for some pedestals (loose plugs). It looks like it can handle anything it comes in contact with. It performs great so far. I haven’t noticed any noise. It’s a durable good looking surge protector.

Bought this in 2021. Use it all the time. We've never had any errors. The cord from the RV to the surge protector fits extremely tight and hard to get apart for transport. I called Progressive to get a replacement since it melted one of the holes. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone told me to email pictures. I've sent 2 emails with pictures of both the RV connector and the surge protector. I have not received any replies from the company. It was a great product until you need assistance. I will find a new product for a replacement.
