Strengths:-The case is LIGHT, durable and COMPACT.-comes with blanket for viola and shoulder straps.- provides mild suspension for body of viola-The handle is made of 2 straps sewn onto the side of the case with a comfy grip in the middle. Because the handle is SEWN on, rather than SCREWED on, the handle can handle MUCH MORE stress over a LONGer period of time.- my 15.5" viola case fits snugly and will not shake while in this case.- materials feel sturdy (case frame, grip, cover, zipper)Issues:- Case is top heavy. When empty and opened, the case will tip over slightly. Tipping over will not harm the instrument; it is just an annoyance- no place built in the case to hold the shoulder rest. Although, the book compartment of the case is big enough to hold the shoulder rest along with a few books.- this case is a TIGHT fit for the 15.5" violas. Purcase the 16-16.5" case if you have a wide 15.5" viola or anything 15.75" and larger. Additionally, any distorting force (such as somebody foolishly sitting on the case) will not be buffered by empty air within the case. Rather, the viola itself will immediately begin feeling the applied force.- bows can still slide back and forth during transportation.I am very satisfied with the purchase! By the materials and construction of this case, I can tell it will last me a solid length of time! (I will edit this review if it doesn't). If the $50 Protec Max case is this good, one can only imagine what the $200 version has to offer. Hats off to Pro Tec!

My daughter was using a school instrument and the case was in BAD shape. We bought this as a replacement and donated it to the school when the school year was over. It is lightweight, the backpack straps are great, love the front zipper pocket for holding music. The only con is that it does not open out flat. When the viola is removed from the case it tends to fall backwards bec the lid is up. But she managed it. Definitely worth the money of replacing the old beat up case which went into the trash.

This case is good for light/moderate use. After 6 months it is showing it's age. I figure this case will last one year with almost daily use. Then it goes to the trash and a new one is needed. On the plus side, it has a nice outside zippered pocked, is light and comfortable to carry around, and has a few different carrying options; handle, shoulder strap, sling around back, etc. The case is good to carry around or carry in the car, but no way I would use this case to travel with on an airplane. For carrying around locally, the case is good. If you want to travel on a plane, then get something more heavy duty.

case is a good value for a student case. lighter than stock cases. came with straps for backpack use or shoulder which is a plus. Daughter likes it. If you use a rest, be aware that you'll have to cram it into the side zipper pocket. Because of the shape, there isn't room for much besides viola and bow inside. 15" is comfortable, 15.5 will be snug but should fit. This isn't a pro case but for a student instrument it should work fine. Pictures didn't show that it has both a zipper and Velcro closure. I don't know that the velcro does much, could annoy some - looks like it could be cut off if you really had/wanted to.BTW - all zippers work and handle is easy comphy fit to the hand.Liner is adequate - I wouldn't call it plush or as nice as I've seen in pro cases - but again this is targeted at a student.I cannot comment on waterproof - hasn't been in wet weather yet.I would suggest it is worth a try if you need a lighter weight case for your HS or JHS student.

These cases are an excellent bargain IMHO. I have several cheaper instruments that I use for casual gigs- this case is perfect for them. The nylon exterior is well constructed and holds up to abuse, and the case has no hard points so you will not scratch tables, benches or piano lids unpacking your instrument. The backpack straps that come with it are thin and not particularly comfortable, but you can switch them out.I haven't put them to a serious stress test, so I can't vouch for how much protection the foam offers, but it feels very similar to the foam of my BAM case.

Alcanzó bien con la viola a la que le buscaba el estuche y tiene espacio suficiente para la viola y el arco, y resina si se requiere, por el compartimento pequeñito en un extremo, también caben bien las hojas en el bolso externo. En el caso del soporte (hombrera), podrÃa quedar un poco apretado, dependiendo del tipo, porque usualmente yo lo pongo en el espacio en que se aloja el caracol y las clavijas, pero como esta viola no tiene hombrera (soporte), no es algo que afecte en este caso.

Absolutely love this case! It is gorgeous! (Mind you, I've been stuck with an awful case for 6 years.) It is perfect travel size and has straps to wear it as a backpack. It has two pockets on the front, two bow holders, a little compartment for rosin, and enough space at the head of the instrument to fit the shoulder rest. Definitely worth the price!

I like thatbthis case has pouch for music books. Also the strap that you can cary this like a backpack is a nice feature.

Viiiel zu klein für die Bratsche. Passt knapp für meine Geige. Qualität war ganz ok, deswegen 4 Sterne. Aber mit der Größe muss man aufpassen

I just bought for the second time this, first for my student and then for me. It is a good light weighted case with enough space inside and good front bags. The material is strong and durable. I recommend it for its price/quality relation.

Buen material, viene la opción para registrarse en lÃnea, las bolsas tienen buen espacio para partituras. Es un poco más pesado de lo pensado, pero no demasiado. Las correas son cómodas. La usé para una viola de 5 cuerdas de 15.5 pulgadas y quedó más que perfecto.
