These saved me from busting my tail bone to the point of giving up. I'm a first year snowboarder and these really help out a lot. I have avoided injuring myself or bruising myself to the point of having to take time off thanks to these. They stay in place and work well to cushion my falls as I learn what I'm doing. There are higher end versions but these worked for me as I didn't want to sink a lot of money into gear unless I really enjoyed snowboarding.

As someone who is new to snowboarding, the only safe way I have found to stop myself is to fall on my butt. Least to say my tailbone is not the biggest fan of direct impact with hard ice!These shorts are a great way to have some extra cushion added to my tailbone and keep me safe when falling.The pad is soft and thick to help raise the tailbone.The fitment is great, sits tightly around the body and uses a zipper to help keep it secure.
