I have 3 year old Maytronics Sigma that is great during the spring/summer but horrible in the fall/winter when my pool gets hammered by falling leaves. The Sigma has built in gyroscope and does a better job of cleaning in a methodical/orderly manner but when leaves start coming down, it just overwhelms the Sigma and you end up cleaning the small baskets daily and in some cases multiple times per day since they clog so easy. The Prowler is dumb a just randomly bumps around the pool, but it has a much, much larger basket that does not clog near as easy as the Sigma. The Prowler is also a lot cheaper than the Sigma. The only possible mark against it is that due to random clean pattern, it might not completely clean your pool in one cycle and so have to run it more often, but that is much better than constantly cleaning out baskets in leaf season. The Prowler is also a Maytronics manufactured cleaner (just rebadged.)

Upgraded to the robot vs my side pressure cleaner. No need for a booster pump anymore. Cleans way better, and easier to clean out. So far I’m pleased with the purchase.

I had to replace my side wall Polaris three years ago and took a chance on a robot. I was concerned that not having a continuous vacuum would mean having to drop a robot too much but I only do it once a week and sometimes every other week.As for the Pentair 920 performance, I am very pleased with how it cleans the pool in a couple hours, is easy to clean, and is pretty durable. Our dog chewed on the cord right as I got it but, after three years, it still works great. Very happy with the switch to Pentair robot.

I have a large inground concrete pool. I bought this at the beginning of last summer and was taking it out of my garage and in the pool to every other day or every 3rd day. It cleaned awesome, sides and even steps. At the beginning of this season, I pulled it out of the garage, set it up and accidentally dropped the power supply into the pool. This was not good, it did not turn back on. So i went online, bought another one, which was $300. I thought, well that's not horrible either for such a great thing. While waiting for the second supply, i took apart the first one. I put it all in rice and dumped rice like right into the unit. After 24 hours, shook as much rice out of the technology cracks and low and behold, it is working. It's been 3 weeks and it's still going strong!!!!

The Pentair 920 works very well. Just brush stairs and other hard to get spots to the pool bottom and it will clean the pool bottom. Don't worry about it missing some minor spots as the next time it will get them.Very good value for the money.

I am please with this item easy to use it has a tendency to get stock on the bottom drain if I see it I just turn oss the pump and it get unstuck if I do not see it it usually get unstuck by himself but it does take a while
