I service several bikes over the course of the year. This grease is the perfect weight for the maintenance of road, gravel and mtn bike freehubs. Used sparingly so that the pawls can be heard and work properly. if you ride in dust, sand and/or wet conditions your freehub needs to be cleaned and maintained. This stuff is what you need to properly lube high end hubs

Works great in DT star ratchet freehubs. I ride my Specialized Aethos 10,000 miles a year. I have cleaned thefreehub ratchet rings and re-greased with the DT Swiss freehub grease every 5,000 miles. Per Strava, my Aethos has 14,000 miles on it now, so my third re-greasing is coming up in a month. There is ZERO visual wear on the ratchets or hub or freehub body when I inspect them after cleaning. Keep those parts clean and regreased annually or every 5,000 miles (whichever comes first) and they should last over 100,000 miles!

This stuff worked great in my DT Swiss star ratchet hubs - super smooth and quiet. Enough in this jar to last me forever.

Mentioned as the preferred stuff by my LBS for my i9 freehub, this is the viscosity needed for the pawls and internals.Picked up the Dumonde oil as well.Don't need much, so the small container/quantity is just right.

A little pricy, but made my i9 and Nukeproof hubs significantly quieter.

Upgraded my Industry Nine Torch from a 3-pawl Shimano driver to a 6-pawl XD driver. After watching a few videos, I bought the liquid and this grease to complete the job. In one video I watched, a drop of oil was used in the cavity where the spring goes and where the pawl goes. when all 6 springs and pawls are in place, I put a small dab of this grease on top of each pawl and then around the inside of the cog on the wheel. Final step was a bit of oil around the red seal before installing the driver onto the axel and into the housing. The result, for now, is one VERY quiet torch hub. We'll see how long that lasts.
