Home depot and lowes did not have the type we needed. Are local appliance store had it but they wanted $75 would recommend buying from Amazon

Photo shows the old burner element (Right) and new element (Left). Stove is a JennAir S136 downdraft installed around 1978. The supports are different. Markings suggest that the new burner is OEM, but I needed to modify the burner to fit. The leg is about 1/2" too long to fit into the stovetop, so modification with a bench grinder will allow the element to fit. First time using the elements will produce some smoke as the element burns off a protective layer. Seems high quality.

It doesn’t fit the small port, only the large one. I’m not sure why? I’m probably doing something wrong, anyway, the big port is too big and my skillet sits at an angle. The big item, my griddle, sits perfect on top. I have to be careful because it gets so hot it will start a fire. The old one did the same thing. My oven/cooktop is 16 years old and may need to be replaced in a few months.
