This is great for the trainee who doesn’t get all the information on calls. Fill in the boxes and make a good habit of taking all the parties information if you can. They’re big but these ones are better than the smaller rite in the rain. I use the matching leather bound cover on it.Only complaint would be it has one information page to one note page. I would like it if they did information with blank note on the back then two sides blank note before another information page but that would likely be tough. It just leaves you having to use another notebook with more room for notes or using the backs of information pages.

Okay, so I must say -> this product is certainly awesome. The pages are a bit thin, and that's my very first drawback, but in fairness -> the thinner pages offer a larger quantity of pages possible for a bit thinner, lighter, notebook. All about preference really, but these things are inconsequential to me.Please be certain that you 'read' the dimensions, I skimmed over them under the quick and ignorant impression that these books would be comparable to the pocket memo field interview that I commonly use. This notebook will not fit in the front blouse pockets of your uniforms if you are in law enforcement, and will not fit in the back pocket of your trousers. I recommend maybe even going a step further and purchasing the leather case that this fits with also by Portage.As far as quality, this notebook has it and does precisely it's job. Incident/Accident notes and is good for traffic enforcement. I recommend this for Law Enforcement Officers and Commissioned Security Officers who work in an Incident Response role.

Before I even opened the plastic wrapping I inspected it for any breaks or holes because the order says a dozen, the wrapping says a dozen, but I'm only counting 11 pads. I've counted several times and I'm about to take them out of the package and lay them out individually in case I'm going crazy. But I'm certain there's only 11 pads here. Other than that hiccup, the eye seem pretty durable and obviously the categories and information layout is very conducive to properly organizing your information and making sure you get what you need. They're good for any rookie who needs to learn what info is needed, they'd also be a good gift from an FTO for their trainee. Or if you just like to keep your info organized and make sure you get everything you need. They'd also be a big help in court if you needed to recall an incident. I'd sure like my 12th notepad though...

I like the notebook, but the report side is very pale gray and hard to read in daylight. Impossible to read in weak light. The other side is normal. Are these misprints?

This Public Safety notebook, is what I have been looking for, the notebook is good for field interviews and is ideal to fit inside your inside coat pocket. I will always carry this with me at all times as I am a Private Investigator with UKPIN Detective Agency.

Product as described but be aware is designed for the American market, even has their version of police caution, Miranda, in the front.
