Good quality heater that keeps my aquarium at a constant temperature. It is easy to install and small enough to hide behind the rocks in the tank. The only negative is that the suction cups are not very strong, but this doesn't effect the product functioning. It has kept a constant temperature for months now.

I have three small tanks; two male betas and a quarantine tank for the fish in my large community tank. I bought three of these heaters over two months because they worked great at first. Now, 5 months later, one is already in the trash because it stopped working completely. Another stopped heating this week. The next has to read 86 in order to heat to 78 degrees. Not cool and very disappointed.

I set up a 6 gallon shrimp tank in my home office that tends to run a bit chilly in the Winter. I would like to get a betta to put in there as well, but the water is a bit cold for one as is. I looked at heater options and this one looked like a good choice.I liked that it claims to measure the temperature as well, limiting the need for an additional thermometer. I understand this is checking the temperature at the same place it is also heating the water, so there will be some variation in temperature throughout the tank, especially since the sponge filter does not move much water. Even so, using a probe thermometer a the furthest point from the heater, there only seems to be a 2 degree difference. The temperature is easy to set, so I am gradually increasing it each day until I get it warm enough to add the fish without stressing out the shrimp too much.

I got this for my beta fish a while ago and it’s held up fine. I have a 10 gallon tank and it is a few degrees off of its set temperature. I have two thermometers on the tank - one near the heater and one on the opposite side. I have the heater set to 84 and both thermometers read 79. It’s nice to see that it provides sufficient heat and it dispersed throughout the tank. Works great for a ten gallon tank and don’t mind the few degrees that it’s off then I recommend. But I think a thermometer is necessary because of that discrepancy. It’s stayed put since i’ve put it in the tank so the suction cup has held up.

I picked up this 50w heater for my 6 gallon glass aquarium glo fish tank. I upsized from the 25w to make sure it could hold up in New England over the winter. This heater can’t get over 72 degrees. I’ve had it running for over a week in my tank set at 75. The thermostat has never gotten above 72. My tank tests out at 71.8 degrees. The price was great, but the heater is undersized and not able to get to the temperature I need. The ambient room temp is 70° so it’s not an issue of it working too hard. Unfortunately I’ll be purchasing another heater to make my tank warmer.

This small heater really keeps my fish tank warm. I love this piece because I can set temperature that I want. It's not like other preset, this one i can set to the desire temperature due to different circumstances. Like now, my fish is sick, and I need to jack it up to 84 degrees. Its small, so it fits into my 3 gallon easy. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I teach in building where the HVAC is always busted, and it gets cold. But I don't worry about our classroom fish; they are nice and toasty at 78 degrees. The heater was easy to install, well-made, and easy to use i.e. one button.
