About this item

  • Before purchasing, ensure your door frame width is between 28.7-39.4 inches . This adjustable pull up bar is not suitable for frames outside this range. The door frame must be wider than the anti-slip pads at both ends of the bar
  • 【SUPPORT FRAME DESIGN!】This is an amazing new design, which greatly strengthens the load-bearing capacity of the horizontal bar, so that you can be more involved and more at ease when exercising! When mounted properly, this fitness bar can hold up to 881lbs(400kg), giving you full support for pull ups and chin ups
  • 【NO DRILLING, NO SCREW】 The CMJO Tie Rods feature an innovative fixing technology that eliminates the need to drill holes to hold the tie rod in place. It is supported by 2 enlarged 5.5"x3" PVC pads to ensure adequate friction for continued use.
  • 【SAFETY UPGRADE - POP-UP PROTECTION】The ends of this CMJO horizontal bar for home are triangular spring levers of our original design. When gravity presses down, the upper and lower springs automatically squeeze the wall. The heavier the load, the stronger it becomes.
  • 【EASY INSTALLATION】 Install quickly with detailed instructions, a video guide, and arrow markers on the chin-up bar. Spirit levels on both ends ensure correct setup. Ensure your doorway or wall is solid; avoid ceramic tiles, glass or non-solid doorframe. Note: Verify the marked rotation direction
  • 【ADJUSTABLE STRUCTURE】The anti-slip EVA handles are sweat-proof, odorless and wear-resistant, offering unparalleled grip flexibility. With simple twist, you can effortlessly adjust the bar to any size between 28.7 inches and 39.4 inches, allowing you to customize it for your pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups, stretching exercises, and beyond

Immediately after reading the sparse instructions and examining the mechanism that’s supposed to secure the product I had pretty grave concerns. There’s no way I can put faith in not crashing to the floor based on the plastic side supports alone but the mechanism that’s supposed to apply pressure laterally just doesn’t make sense. I cannot recommend this product and feel that it poses a safety risk. There are cantilever and screw in pull up bars that have been proven to be safe, I feel that those are a better option.

I bought this because it would "press apply" without my drilling holes in the door frame. Did not work. The friction was insufficient to hold it in place when weight applied. Even cranking it until the door frame made scary cracking sounds was insufficient to hold it in place without slipping. Not recommended.

I spent a lot more time than I should have trying to make this work in my doorway. No matter how long I tried I can't get this to stay in place. It slips on the painted door jambs. It feels strong and sturdy but when it can't take my weight without sliding it doesn't work for me. I followed the instructions to the point it was causing my door jamb to separate yet when I try to put my weight on it the bar starts to rotate and slide out of the door jamb.

I was very in need of a pull up bar for both excercise , and training. The closest thing to a pull up bar were the monkey bars at a local park and it was too far away to go to daily/consistently. I got this pull up bar to be able to do pull up's at home whenever I go to my garage and knock out a few reps. Previously, I tried those bars that grip to the door frame but those damaged my walls and were very unstable and scary to hang on. This time it was sticking, so I decided to give purchasing a pull up bar one more try. This bar arrived in cardboard packaging labelled and wrapped nicely. Upon opening it comes with the long stand, 2 rubber red grips on either end and a very very complicated and convuluted instruction booklet that was hard to understand. Let's start with the instructions, this thing took me over a few hours to put together by myself and by the end of it my arms were drooping as I had to position it to my door many times and it would not stick. The instructions were not written in great english, theres a qr code that takes you to a CHINESE video which to me is insane. How is anyone supposed to understand Chinese if they are buying this from Amazon US unless they are Chinese American and even then, no subtitles, I guess people are supposed to watch the pictures? Even the video wasn't great at explaining, I had to figure out most of the things on my own. The video for instance showed the two black rings inside can seperate but they can't at all on the actual thing. It was hard to figure out how to pull backwards and to attach the red and lock and put the red ring in or out and much more problems. Here are my instructions if you get the bar which is probably way better than the provided instructions. Pull out the red ring on each side, turn it in the direction it shows which should be right to make bar longer/shorter. Put on the 2 Red guards on each side making sure it is straight and aligned with each other and can fit on the door snugly/tightly. The Red does not need to go back, keep it close to the Red Guards. Now hold the bar's inner part and start turning it down away from you to the left, you should feel it getting tighter thats how you know you are doing it right. Then when its all done, move the gel bar with the ball in the middle to the top and thats how you tell it's balanced, the ball should be in the middle. The instructions without experimination were a pain and took hours upon hours to figure out and that takes off points in my book. Now, I only tried it a few times so far but it seems to be study enough, even so I was still hesitant and scared to jump up at first even though it felt locked and sturdy because I feared it would let go and I would fall which is a big problem I had with pull up bars that attached to the door frame. Now, so far it seems ok and I did a few pull ups yay but only time will tell as I continue using it, in the future if anything changes or a fall indeed happens I will update.

We got this for our kids to use at home. It took a little figuring out before we were able to install it. But once we were able to put it up, our kids have been using it regularly. It's designed to mount in a doorway using only friction, not any screws or nails. It has pads that the bar fits into which are pressed against the inside of a door frame. The bar itself has foam grips, and the bar itself is made of metal. It's very solid feeling and I think it will hold up well over time.

The grip on this wasn’t all that great.

There's lots to like about it. It installs pretty easily, even if the instructions are not super clear. But ultimately I can't recommend it because the locking mechanism comes undone too easily, making me nervous it's going to loosen and fall, bringing me with it.Essentially you install it by turning the central bar, which cleverly increases its width on both ends. Then you push the two red plastic pieces with teeth inward to lock it. The problem arises because those red pieces are essential to not letting rotational motion on the bar reduce the width (the tension), and they come out way too easily under normal use. This happened even when my kids were using it, so it's not an issue of weight, either.

Could not get it to support 150-160 LBS of weight on the doorframe even after wedging it so tightly that I needed a hammer to tap it in. Do yourself a favor and just buy a better pull up bar that is fixed to the frame, or a gym membership.
