In the sprayer equipment field, there's those that fit, those that don't fit and those that leak and those that don't leak. In terms of fitting or not fitting, most of the spray equipment manufacturers use two basic pipe threads for connecting plumbing: a larger M18-1.5mm thread for applications like the outside thread of the tubing attachment end of the Gnellkoor handle, and a variation of 1/4-18 NPS (American Straight Pipe thread) where a smaller thread is useful (like most spray nozzles). Most M18-1.5mm threads have a pretty standard outside diameter of around 0.695", and the smaller 1/4-18 NPS have and a typical outside diameter of around 0.535" (but can vary quite a bit from this, complicating the ability to interchange hardware between manufacturers). Note that the U.S. 18 threads per inch is nearly identical to a metric 1.5 mm thread, so the diameter is the key difference. The Gnellkoor hardware uses both of these standard threads, and they're high quality and leak free (more on leaking a bit later). The spray handle itself uses a male 1/4-18 NPS on the wand end of the handle and a female 1/4-18 NPS on the tubing end. For compatibility, the wand section that goes next to the handle has the needed female 1/4-18 NPS interface, but has the larger M18-1.5mm thread at its outboard end. To join to it, the outer wand section has M18-1.5mm threads at both ends for compatibility with its included spray nozzle, which is NOT like most spray nozzles, in that it has a M18-1.5mm thread. The important point is that most spray nozzles, which generally have a 1/4-18 NPS female thread, can't be installed on the Gnellkoor wand. In fact I have no spray heads with a M18-1.5mm thread other that the one that Gnellkoor provided. My solution was to acquire a female M18-1.5mm to male 1/4-18 NPS thread adapter (with o-ring groove) to install my misting nozzle on the Gnellkoor wand. Gnellkoor should provide this adapter! The second common issue with modest-pressure sprayer plumbing fittings is leaks. This is because most spray fittings are based on straight pipe threads with an added o-ring or gasket. These joints only work reliably if the gasket is constrained in an o-ring groove that prevents it from being extruded out of the joint by the spray pressure, or is made of a very rigid material that won't extrude. To its credit, all of the Gnellkoor joints have gasket-restraining grooves and have proven to be leak tight for my application with a 850 psi spray pressure. Great job! With respect to the handle, it looks equally well manufactured, but I haven't used it in my application. Clearly the little wire loop used to hold the sprayer "on" should be upgraded. In summary, this is some of the best quality sprayer hardware I've seen, with top quality materials and attention to important details such as the o-ring containing grooves. Just needs an added female M18-1.5mm to male 1/4-18 NPS thread adapter (with o-ring groove).

I bought this to replace the wand on a 25-gallon tank sprayer. My sprayer tends to spend a lot of time outside. Plastic fittings on a wand can get brittle in the Florida sun. I had already replaced the original wand once before. This new wand functions as expected. However, I have the following concerns:1) The instructions say to dry off the wand so that it won't rust. That's not very reassuring for something intended to have routine contact with water. Am I supposed to dry off the INSIDE as well? After 60 days, I do see some discoloration. It's not full-on rust.2) The movement of the trigger is very sloppy. My previous wand was much smoother.3) The wand screws together in 3 sections. There are literally only 2 or 3 threads to catch the nut. I fear that the wand may break at a junction.4) The included clamp was too small diameter to fit my existing 3/8" hose.

I ordered these wands to replace some that stopped working, which were attached to spray bottles I got from Tractor Supply. The wands themselves seem sturdy and came with a variety of different adapters, which is a plus. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get any of the adapters to work with the spray bottles I’m trying to repair.Since these are advertised for garden hoses, I also tried to attach them to my standard US garden hose, but still had no luck. It seems like others have had success with them, so I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if I just have uniquely incompatible devices. I did refer to the manual for guidance, but it might have been helpful to have a video tutorial available as well, especially for more visual learners.

i used this to upgrade the spray hose on my pump from plastic. it is really easy to assemble. i think the biggest thing to remember about it is that since it is steel it can rust, especially the inside of the long pipe. so it's very important for after using it to let it air out.
