This filter fit a twenty year old Home Depot plastic bodied shop vac. Because it fit and works better than the original equipment I did not have to buy a new machine.

I have a 15 gal Rigid shop vac and this filter fits nearly as well as the original. Close but not quite perfect. That being said, it's hasn't leaked one bit and I have no complaints about it's performance at all. I've used it to pick up stuff ranging from fine drywall dust all the way to debris the size of gravel. I only had loss of suction with the really fine stuff but that's to be expected.The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the base is a soft rubber/silicone material instead of hard plastic. My concern is that it will wear out and tear before the filter should be replaced. It's simply not as well made as the original.Overall, I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a replacement.
