This is a very nice set for beginners. Bow is nice - brand new, so make sure you put a lot of rosin. I really like how it's a complete set with a nice lightweight case, shoulder rest, tuner, cleaning cloth and rosin.The sound of the instrument itself is OK - acceptable for beginners - but you get what you pay for. Maybe with upgraded strings it would have a bit bigger sound. We had been renting a $900 instrument, but are moving and needed to return the rental and bought this one instead. This one was much less than that, so in comparison to the price difference, the quality for price is pretty good and I think it's good enough to tie us over to the next size.

My daughter had one issue so far with the broken violin string other than that it’s very good quality.

Violin is perfect for my 9 yr old child. A The bridge on the violin needs a grip so it does not slide. Overall, price is decent for a beginner. I recommend it.

I purchased this as a warehouse deal. I'm not sure if that's part of the issue or if the violin would have arrived like we received it. There were multiple things wrong:-the strings were put in backwards and unusable once we tried to fix them-we were only given 3 extra strings (not 4)-the bridge was installed incorrectly and would not stay in the correct spot even after multiple times of trying to get it to work-there was a hole in the bagNeedless to say, the violin was returned. We were hopeful because it looked like a nice violin and there were other good reviews. It didn't work out for us.

My daughter has been learning to violin and I bought this one for her as the first violin was starting wear out. I am pleasantly surprised by the packaging, the built quality of the violin and the overall kit accessories that come in this package.The setup and tuning process was breeze as it already comes with strings in place with the wooden bridge already in place. The included digital tuner comes very handy and works great.This violin is much better built than my previous one. The wood quality and finish is very smooth and professional. It comes with extra set of strings for future use and rosin for the bow. The case is very sturdy. There is a free lesson offer that I have not tried yet.I would highly recommend it for a beginner or intermediate violin player.

I am a violin player and bot this for a potential student. Should have known better. Best go to a music store. This is defective. Notice on the picture the G string is on the edge of the black finger bar. I tried to adjust the wood string holder to the right but when you tune it up it slides to the left. The bottom unit that holds the strings is off centered. I'm returning this. I feel sorry for those that are not familiar with this instrument and would never know it is flawed.UPDATE:Well today 10-13-22 I bot one from a music store. You really have to inspect the violin before you buy. I assumed it was fine but when I went to give to my student, the fine tuner didn't work at all! Went back to music store for exchange or refund. They only offered to "fix" it. Conclusion, I'll probably buy from Amazon and if there's a defect, I can get an exchange or refund.

great value for the price, super sound. had a cheaper one (1/4 size) last year, but this (1/2 size) is just fantastic!great quality... would buy again in two years when nothing changes

Not really what I expected for an Adult Sized Violin. Measuring 23 inches in total length. Would be good for young child, but they advertised also for adult and its Not true. They make it look big for an adult in the photo but at only 23 inch is too small for an adult as we have bigger and longer arms and hands. I have sent the seller two messages asking if they made a mistake in saying it was for adult when in fact this is a young childs size violin and they did not respond. To me this answers my question and is Not for an adult but only for a child. And to think I paid extra for the 'All Wood' version. To add one last thing, the electronic tuner does not work very good and I also found trying to tune the instrument, which by the way is only by the pegs, is very hard. There are no additional fine tuners on the instrument as stated only good for child or youth as a starter violin.Very DisappointedGeorgeAlberta Canada
