Seller shipped fast and at a fair price. 5 stars for the seller for a job well done. Prompt fast shipping with no issues.I have had 3 python remote start systems since 1999. The earlier Python fob was a complete train wreck... Poorly designed, thick and bulky, bad range, and incredibly fragile. All you had to do was sneeze at the battery door and the tabs would break off. The new design is better and the battery door is no longer an issue. My only gripe is programming a remote or pairing it with the receiver in the vehicle is not easy. I felt like I had to stand on one foot, pat myself on the head, while rubbing my belly to get the remote to pair with the receiver. You have to be quick and execute the steps fast or you wind up having to start over. Took me multiple attempts before I was able to program and pair with the receiver in the vehicle. Python needs to improve the process. Keep It Simple Stupid. Simplify the pairing and programming and then Python will have a winner.

i've had the viper remote start for 10yrs or longer and she has worked just fine. the original remote, square type with slide on back door didn't hold up well, tabs on door broke off so i got one like this not sure if from same seller it's been yrs. it worked great but lately having a hard time with it sending signal from remote to truck. if you held button down longer then normal it may work.so i ordered one of these tuesday 23rd and it was here on friday 26th. came well packaged in hard plastic had to cut it out. had step by step info to link it up with truck and only took less then 1 min. to link and it works perfect, don't have to hoo down button like old worn out one and makes starting, unlock and lock like it was a whole new unit. now this is only day one so can't give long term evaluation yet but don't see any problems.buy from this seller if your looking for one of these remotes, fast shipping, well packaged, looks and works just like shown

Pros: I purchased this as a replacement for an older model Viper/Python remote (7251p) that is no longer made.I love that Python has improved the battery compartment for this model.The case is made of less brittle plastic than its predecessor and the buttons don't accidentally push when my jingling keys hit them.I am able to start my car from my office which is, line of site, over a kilometre from where I park. This great as I can pre-warm my car in the winter and turn on the A/C in the summer. Co-workers using Command-Start type remotes were not able to do what this one can from that distance.Cons: Absolutely none. You need this one...not a cheap knock-off.

I buy one of these every year or so. they are expensive, but work. they do not last very long and the batteries need to be replaced often. Works with my Viper system and has great range, I just wish they would last a little longer or be a little less expensive.

FALSE ADVERTISING: The one year warranty is not honored by the Manufacturer, if you buy it through Amazon!Bought it in March 2015, 8 months later it started having issues. The remote started working again, but always gives me a buzzing error sound. I talked to the manufacturer and that implies there is an issue with the circuitry in the remote and its contact with the battery in the remote. Started having major issues again (in addition to the battery contact issue). Now I am just over one year from purchase.My factory remote lasted over 6 years, but this one can't make it through one year.I spoke to the manufacturer Directed, and they said they don't warranty remotes sold on Amazon. Don't buy this remote from Amazon, spend the extra money so it is warrantied.

I bought this to replace the older (7152P) version of this remote which was garbage. The old one was not made very well and fell apart after about a month. After being tired of duct taping it together, I decided to buy this one after seeing the good reviews. This one is built much more thought put into durability. Programming took about 30 seconds when following the directions. I'm very happy with this product.

Bought several of these remotes over the years... But... Everyday in my pocket... Everywhere I go... Used multiple times a day.... That's a lot of use!!For it to last a year or so is pretty good.... Just wish there were options out there that would last the lifetime of the system with that sort of use (read: metal housing/buttons).
