Qdos TOP Latches were specially designed for use directly under countertops. Standard over-hang for counter tops is 1.5" so we compensate for this distance by making the latch arms longer on our TOP Latches. These fit standard framed cabinet drawers and doors directly under counter tops.
Qdos SureCatch Adhesive LOWER Drawer/Door Latches
Qdos Lower Latches were specially designed for use on lower cabinet doors and drawers that are NOT directly under countertops. These have a shorter latch arm than our TOP Latches to ensure a consistent safe opening size to keep kids' hands out.

Received the 2 sets I ordered pretty quick. Despite other reviews saying not to buy due to the adhesive not being good enough, I didn’t have any problems with that. I have old cabinets with the frame which this is what these latches are specifically made for. It shows you what type of drawers/cabinets these work for and I was hunting all over the place for something that would work without having to drill into the cabinets. And these work perfectly l. The adhesive has been holding strong since I’ve installed them. It holds well and does the job of keeping my 3 year old out and from being able to pull out any kitchen utensils. There is a gap at the front but not big enough to get anything out from.I’d definitely recommend these if you have the specific cabinet/drawers that these were made for.

I get it was customizable for different drawer types, but it seemed needlessly complex. Took a while to get the hang of the installation. Also, the adhesive did not last long on my fibrous and small drawer space. Began falling off after a couple months on the most used drawer. But that drawer did have less space for the hook catch part. And the wood was unfinished in that spot. Make sure wood is finished and you have the entire adhesive footprint needed or else it won’t work well. It seems to be working well on other drawers for now. Next time will skip the adhesive and use screws instead.

Easy to install but only half work. I cleaned the area let it dry for a few hours. It’s almost like half the adhesion was good and half wasn’t. I had extra adhesion but still I think only 2 of those held up. My son is 1.5 and starting to bust through them too. But you can’t expect sticky tape to do the same as screws do.

Installation is easy.Screwing in the drawer piece was easy but the piece of cabinet that it’s unmovable it’s impossible to screw and when you open too hard and fast piece in the back just comes off . Adhesion is bad

These were the only drawer latches we could find that worked for the type of drawers we have. Work great! A little confusing to install at first but once you get it it’s pretty simple

I normally don’t write reviews but considering the price on this, I figured I’d share my experience. I ordered two packs of six. One pack was fine, the other was missing the hook pieces for 2 of the locks. If this was $5, not a big deal, but considering I paid basically $2 per lock, I’m definitely disappointed.These do not work without drilling the screw into your drawer. If you are looking for an adhesive-only option, keep looking. Even after cleaning the surface first, these almost instantly fell off. I had to secure all by screw which means drilling into the cabinet. Just an FYI. Great locks and easy to use once drilled, but they won’t work with the adhesive alone.

These have been the only child safety locks I could find for framed cabinets, everything else was for unframed cabinets. They work great, but I'd recommend using the screws, the adhesive gives after a couple of months.

Just received and installed. One word of caution, when you go to install don't put any pressure at all on the Perfect Install tool when pushing the drawer in to mount the big plate. After my 2nd drawer I snapped the little hand that holds the plate in place. Had to use masking tape on the rest of the drawers to keep the tool attached. Also if the plate for the locking arm is ever so slightly off, it won't work and will actually knock the other plate off. I'm maybe a little concerned on the durability of the materials since I broke the install tool with minimum force. But the design in general is genius. Fingers crossed.

I cut the instructions in half while opening the sealed package. 3 of them are not usable because they are sealed shut and you can’t slide them. Way better than the magnetic ones I purchased prior and easier to install once you realize why it’s not working
