Easy to install, takes a minute or two to heat up enough to lock into the print, but they work.

The inserts themselves are of solid quality, and I have not had any rip out to date. The included solder iron tip fits my dearest Hakko 936 iron perfectly. I've messed around with hole size for these, and with how well heat transfers through the iron tip into the brass material, I have found that I can keep a much tighter fit for ideal engagement of the insert serrations. I'm not sure how I ever lived with leaving pockets for nuts all this time when these not only work better but look awesome at the same time. A smaller hole radius means extra material will squish out the front, but the slag is simple to cut off warm with no damage to the surface.I'll probably order another few sets just to have extra tips around for my other iron and to top off the dedicated "Brass Threaded Insert" drawer.

I used these for a 3D project I've been working on, and they worked well. I really appreciated that the package included tips for the soldering iron. It was easy to use and produced a good finished product. The only thing I wish was simpler was keeping the nut straight—some of them ended up slightly crooked.

I do a lot of 3d printing and sometimes need to have parts that screw together. This makes life so much easier to use my soldering iron to push the inserts into the plastic.

These aren't as expensive as other inserts of this size and style, but the quality is equal to anything I've seen. Additionally, the application tool that came with them was a real bonus and it fits nicely into my soldering iron. The combination of these inserts, the application tool, and my soldering iron allows me to install, strong, accurate, and attractive threaded inserts into plastic parts made with a 3D printer. Perfect!
