Just lay the fabric over the frame then gently push the clamps down stretching the material around the outside of the frame. The ribbed inner surface of the Q-Snap clamps hold the tension for your preferred adjustment. Simply turn the clamp outward to tighten or inward to loosen. Q-SNAP: Extension Kit. I recently got these as a way to help me with managing tension on my big pieces and omg they are the best! I'm currently working on a piece that's around 40in by 40in so I'm using the biggest q-snap. It's been so much easier than in hand stitching and I don't have to worry about my stitches losing their tension! I haven't used these for smaller pieces yet, but I can't say I'm worried about them since the big ones have gone so well!

These are a great value for the price. One order and you get every size that you need. You can also mix them up to create other sizes. They are sturdy. They grip well without tearing or scarring your fabric. I am very happy with this purchase.

I love this for keeping my cross stitch fabric taut. I mix and match the sizes to make a perfect sized frame for each of my projects. I've moved the frame around my fabric for different parts of the project, and there is no noticeable crease where the frame secured the project previously.

I did not enjoy the experience of working with hoops at all, and, lo, these existed. I'm so happy I picked them up because they are great to use!

We're a cross stitching family. These are fantastic, very easily put together and taken apart. You can even alter sizes by using different sides and ends. This kit also includes the extension pieces if you need to go bigger. We love ours!

I thought I would give q-snaps a try, and it works well, but I only gave it for 4-stars because my fabric becomes loose over time and I find I have to readjust it. I do like that it’s easier to hold compared to other hoops. If my fabric didn’t come loose as frequently as it did, I would give it 5-stars.

I've always loved Q-snap frames. These ones are really sturdy and hold onto the fabric so nothing gets loose as fast as a normal hoop!

I love these. They hold the Aida well, it doesn’t work loose and they are easy to sort of wedge against me so I can stitch either both hands.

My only disappointment is even though I bought various extension there is still a lot of material hanging over the sides. Very annoying.

Q snaps are more expensive than other brands but they are very good, definitely better than the cheaper ones I tried.
